Lincoln LS SVT?

Oh, there's been alot of other small things, those are just the biggies. A rattle in the door was fixed by jamming some foam between the door panel and door. LAME! I've seen a lot of people with Lexus go 200k without touching anything other than plugs, oil changes and one timing belt. I've never seen a single LS with over 200k on it.

I hear ya, most Toyota's are very gifted when it comes to how long they can last.

I put 85K on my 2008 Scion tC I bought brand new in Oct of 07. Traded it in for the LSE and only got $7500 for it. This is my second LS and 4th Lincoln. Not all Toyotas hold their resale value and personally I say buy what you want and enjoy it. If you don't like it, deal with it or sell it and buy import.

There is a difference between a Toyota and a Lexus. Like Ford & Lincoln, Chevy & Cadillac. I was never looking at any Toyotas.

You can debate it all you want but last time i checked lincoln is made by ford and lexus is made by toyota.

Pop open the hood of the ls and tell me how many times you see the Ford logo.

Did you even bother to read what I was replying to? He said not all Toyotas hold their resale value. Maybe not, but Lexus do. At least every one I looked at held it resale way better than our LS. That was my original point way back when. That I couldn't find a '98 or '99 Lexus GS400 anywhere near as cheap as I was able to buy my '03 LS V8 Sport. And these were cars that cost about the same when they were new. There's a reason for that. The Lexus are built better and have far fewer issues, on average. That's a fact, not an opinion. Get over it everyone! You're allowed to like your LS, just don't make up bs that it can hold a candle to a Lexus.

Maybe in your mind. But I'd rather own my LS over a comparable year Lexus. I bought the LS over an IS300 and would do it over again also.

You can compare the facts but equally its all up to buyers opinion. Majority of us are here because we love our Lincoln(s).

Cant hold a candle?

I have majority of all the features that a 2006 GS300 has plus rear heated and cooled seats and a V8 engine.

Wow! A lot of people on here who don't understand statistics. There is no debate here. Overall, Lexus builds far more reliable cars than Lincoln or Cadillac. If you disagree with that fact, you're just ignorant. My LS - in 80000 miles - has already had two coils replaced and a transmission solenoid replaced. I have zero confidence level that this car won't need more expensive repairs in the near future. How many Lincolns or Caddys do you see with 200K+ that look and run almost like new. Lexus like that are all over the place. They are better built, that is a fact. If you don't like it, tough sh*t. In any group of anything, there will always be those at the top and those at the bottom. The difference between the top and bottom may be closer than than it was 10 years ago, but who is at the top and who is at the bottom is unchanged.

No, I could not afford the car I wanted. I bought the best thing I could afford that fit my criteria. I'm not complaining about it, merely pointing out that if I had more money when I was looking, that there are better options out there than what I ended up with.

Statistics is for people like you....not me.
I don't car if Lexus goes 400 thousand miles without repairs. Never will buy one. If you like them, that's fine.
A friend of mine has 06 IS 350 with half the miles i have on my LS and the ride comfort is not even comparable.
I bought the Lincoln because I like it. If it breaks, i fix it and keep it movin'.

I like my ls, i hate my flip over cup holders to death. just saying
