Ok, before I start trying to troubleshoot my Lincoln LS I thought I would post my problem here and see if any one can give me some pointers as to where I should start. I have an 02 Lincoln LS and my rear right window refuses to go back up with the window power switch button. The master switch on the drivers door lowers the window fine and so does the window switch on the rear right door. Now, when I press either of those two switches to raise the window, nothing happens, no sound or anything, just like if I wasn't pressing a switch. Now I also noticed that my sunroof switch only opens and closes my sunroof intermittently. For instance, if I press the sunroof switch to open, the sunroof opens for a couple of inches and stops, like if power was cut to it. if I release the switch and press it again, the sunroof opens another couple of inches and stops again and it does the same for closing. So, since I know that the key can close all the windows and the sunroof, I stuck my key in the drivers door key hole and turned it and sure enough all my windows and my sunroof closed just fine. I also tried opening all with the remote key fob and all worked fine. So I know it isn't a window regulator or mechanical issue but an electrical one but now don't know if it is the drivers master switch, passenger switch or the sunroof switch? Can't be all three at once, too much of a coincidence. Does anyone know where all these three switches connect to? Sunroof, master window switch and rear passenger switch? I'm betting it is a bad connection somewhere and probably just needs to be cleaned with electrical cleaner but I'm unsure which harness to disconnect and clean, or at least which one to start with? Anyone?

The driver's door module reads the right rear window control switch on the driver's door.
The rear electronics module reads the right rear window switch on the right rear door.
The rear electronics module drives the right rear window motor.

While the rear electronics module sends the global open and close signals to the moon roof, it isn't involved when you press the switch at the roof itself. It may just need to be cleaned and greased.

Thanks Joe! Exactly the info I needed. I will clean contacts first to ensure proper connections and will post back afterwards with results. Thanks again for the great info.

fixed my issue by taking master window switch apart and cleaning with electrical cleaning solution, also sprayed all harness contact points with cleaner and blew them dry with compressed air. Window switch now works perfectly!

Big thumbs up for helping others.
