I guess I am going to keep my LS for a while now. So I am intrested in putting some performance parts on this car now! I know the older Ls have some many parts availible for them! I want them too! I got a 05! Things like a aftermarket exhaust. If you guys have them already what do they sound like? I have not seen a Ls with a aftermarket exhaust yet. I am curious about them! I want to lower my LS because I know it makes any car look great, with a lowered suspension! Also is their any aftermarket cold air intakes for the 2005? Thats what year I have it's a 2005! I would like to add some horsepower too over time! Whats the best way in a LS! Sorry guys I know these questions have probably been asked before! I am just looking to do some things to my LS this summer!

Thanks

If you have a V8 then there are a couple of options. One is to add the KKM Tru-Rev Sport Induction Kit that I sell on my website. HP increase around 8-10 HP. Another option is to get the SCT Flasher from teampartsnetwork.com. You'd get three tunes for the LS ranging from 5HP to who knows how many.

As for an aftermarket exhaust system, there isn't one for the 03 and up LS. Lincoln claims they squeezed every ounce out of the factory exhaust system. You might have someone custom make you one at your local muffler or performance shop.

V-6

Thanks I will look into the exhaust at a local shop! I got the V-6 model by the way. I wonder when the performance companys are going to start making for parts for the newer Ls, because I know its just a matter of time!

I'm working with Warren at KKM to start selling the V6 units for the 03-05 LS soon. He has the material waiting to be built. He's now waiting on Ford to send him CAD drawings of the V6 intake housing and MAF enclosure. Once he gets it it's just a matter of a couple of weeks and the V6 units will be for sale.

Thats awesome

Let me know when they are availible for sale I want one of those for my Ls!

Thanks

Where would someone go to have that Induction Kit installed? I've never worked on my own cars, and I don't plan to start anytime soon... and I'm pretty sure I can't just go to the dealership and have it put in there. I suppose I could have a friend of mine do it, but I have a feeling he'd probably set it up wrong on purpose.

the aftermarket for the 03+'s is not there yet. You just have to get creative.

It really is a super easy installation.

If you really dont want to install your intake then just take your car to any mechanic shop and they should be able to do it for you in about 10-15 minutes.

The KKM intake kits come with installation instructions. The hardest part of the whole deal is separating the intake tube from the air box. Other than that it's a pretty easy install. However, you can probably take it to a mechanic or friend you trust to install it.

Are those angel eye rings in your 04' ?

Not yet but soon there will be. I have an extra set of 04 light that I am going to get apart within a few weeks. I have another project that is higher priority for now. I bought another fixer-upper house and Im going to completely remodel and sell it in 1 month. After that is done I will be back to putting angel eyes in my 04 lights. I will be dremeling them apart and then resealing the assembly back together with a plastic welding process.

Damn, you are definately a modifier that's for sure.

As far as exhaust goes I read on a corvette forum that hooker max flow mufflers are suppose to flow more than any other muffler and are quieter than the magnaflows. They had everything broke down by cfm and dbs. I don't know if much hp could be gained by better flowing mufflers but I will probably be replacing mine this summer with the hookers.

Doing this stuff is fun and I hate to wait for companies to come out with products for our cars 5-10 years down the road. When I had my Nissan 240sx back in 1993. I had one of only 3 in the United States with a SR20DET turbo motor imported from Japan to swap out the stock motor. I get ants in my pants on this kind of stuff. But now Im married and the wife wont give me the funds I need for bigger projects like SUPERCHARGERS!! :)

This is true. IMHO, the instructions provided with the KKM intake for the 03+ V8 models are a bit overly simplified. I tried installing the unit on my 06 V8, and couldn't get the stock intake assembly off by following their instructions to the letter. If you doubt or lack mechanical skills, I may be best to have a buddy install it for you.

I try to keep some hidden away, thats how I did my LSE kit etc... I just cant get enough hidden away for a $5K charger install in a timely fashion.

Im definately up for meeting. I dont hear of many events around the area, let me know when the next one is and Ill break away from my crazy schedule. Im going to a Fox Valley Motorcars Lamborghini meet sometime in May, they are flying in a Gallardo over at Joliet Speedway for a private event. I know the owner of the dealership so I was invited and can bring others. They will have the 1/4 mile strip open up and plan on seeing numbers on my LS over the stock magazine posted numbers to see what she can do. Ill take plenty of pics there.
