Actually, the nose on the Mark viii looks a lot more like the nose on the galant.....they both have squinted eyes and are ugly.

To be honest alot of cars catch my attention now. Especially from a distance I mistake alot of cars for the LS. Mainly the ones with the chrome "waterfall" type grilles. Some Corrolas even from far away almost look like the LS. But again I've lost my prescription glasses for at least a month now haha!

*edit* Man do I hate my headlights. I'm keeping my eyes open for a decent pair of Gen2 lights for a decent price.

hey... has anyone had any transmission problems go wrong in their LS?

Hey, have you searched this site?

Lots of problems with the solenoid valve assembly. A few have had more serious problems.

+1 listen to him kndawg. Also, search by title, trasnmissions, not by "in entire thread", and you'll get better results in searchin, it makes things a lot easier to find as well.

haha, most definitely. Sorry about that, ;)

Just got home, found an IMPECCABLE LS. It's a 2000 with 123k. Only thing wrong with it is the catalytic converter needs replacing and the trac control light is on. Not sure what those are, so i'll be searching first and asking questions. :)

Thanks you guys!

Mine being a 3.9L Gen 1 2000 Lincoln LS and hers being the 2002 Gen 1 Lincoln ls 3.0L v6.. They are VERY Costly when they break.. and its not a matter of IF its WHEN and Trust me.. That WHEN happens ALOT!

Lol very true..

Its just depressing you know..

Lincoln LS Is a beautiful car.. Rides amazing.. Looks good.. But When it comes to the mechanical part of the fact.. Ford Failed.. Majorly..

Its just a shame...

You can do constant maintenance on them and still have issues for no reason..

Makes me sad :,(

Just replaced the Torque Converter in mine.. Made a HORRIBLE Noise..

LS's are Notorious for lots of issues.. Transmissions is just one of the many..
Timing Chain Tensioners, COPs, Engines going into self destruct mode ya catch the drift lol.

Don't know about that. My daughter's V6 has over 172K miles and the engine has yet to be opened up (the solenoid pack did have to be replaced ~80K miles ago). No noises, no problems; just normal wear and tear. Most LSes here were purchased used and no one knows how well or how bad the car was treated by the previous owner. The LSes represented here are also a small percentage of the total ~300K (I think) sold.

Finally found another one! It's a 2000 with 170k... things wrong are the tranny solenoid and a vacuum leak.

He wants 2800, but I'd offer 1800. Thoughts?
