I have mine ordered from Torrie now! I should get it next week! I hope! What tunes did you get?

Here is my question though. Torrie supplies the unit with three pre-programs for the Lincoln LS. I see three files entitled, "Perf File 1, Perf File 2, and 1stgearsst test." I don't have the SelectShift Transmission; am I able to use the third selection?

Email Torrie and ask him what are the 3 tunes you have. It may be that the 1 does not apply to you? Best thing is to email him and ask. He answers email FAST! Even on weekends.

Turns out the brightness on my monitor @ work was turned way down. Couldnt read what it said on the unit.

I did. I'm awaiting his repsonse, thanks. :)

Give him a little time this weekend - he has four days left to convert from FordPartsNetwork.com to FastPartsNetwork.com .... turns out that Ford now wants to get onto the web and have been bully-ing Torrie......

The LLSOC have just cracked the SST in 1st on pre-03 LSes... Looks like he gave you that tune....

We've actually been emailing back and forth in the past 30 minutes. He's a big help. He may email me another file to replace the SST one, since I don't have SST. I'm currently running the Perf File 2 ... shifting quickness is impressive and the seat-dyno tells me there's definitely a boost in hp/tq curves. My ex-biz partner has the dyno ... if I can ever get there I'll post numbers.

I do receive two DTC's ... P1000 and P1233. I am assuming both are normal due to the ECU being flashed with a performance file. Anyone?

Re:
P1000 = DTC P1000 is ignored in KOEO and KOER Self-Test. Disregard the DTC P1000 and continue as directed.
P1233 = Perform Rear Electronics Module (REM) self-test/diagnostics.

nope - never had it throw a code after a good tune upload.

had alot of errors pop up when we were trying to get it to work with the LS a year ago...

Okay, well drivability is fine and is definitely improved. I did learn this:

The PCM Reset clears all emission-related diagnostic information. When resetting the PCM, a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P1000 will be stored in the PCM until all the OBD II system monitors or components have been tested to satisfy a drive cycle, without any other faults occurring.

The following events occur when a PCM reset is performed:

Clears the number of Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
Clears the DTCs.
Clears the freeze frame data.
Clears diagnostic monitoring test results.
Resets status of the OBD II system monitors.
Sets DTC P1000.

Resetting Keep Alive Memory will return PCM memory to its default setting. Adaptive learning contents such as idle speed, refueling event, and fuel trim are included. A PCM Reset (described above) is also part of a KAM Reset. Both can be useful in post repair retest.

After Keep Alive Memory has been reset, the vehicle may exhibit certain driveability concerns. It will be necessary to drive the vehicle to allow the PCM to relearn values for optimum driveability and performance.

I will disconnect the battery for 5 minutes to reset the KAM and then see what happens. I really don't see it to be a big deal ... damn computers!

did anyone ever figure out why the p1000 and p1233 is showing up....
Im getting both of these....Also has anyone ever modified the settings...I pulled some low end spark to try and fix the knocking and still no luck but I also increased the shift firmness and it seems to keep getting firmer and firmer....at first not so bad then after a couple of days it gets pretty bad when driving around normal...it kicks hard but if you get on it its nice??? I guess I just need to get it re tuned Im not to happy with the knocking...I even ran some octane booster and nothing ...not that cheap 1 count stuff....I was thinking about adding some 100 octane and see if it helps a good or bad idea??

Thanks again

P1000 (OBD-II Monitor Testing Incomplete) is telling the computer that the OBD-II testing cycle hasn't completed successfully, probably because of the P1233 (Fuel Pump Driver Module off-line). If you clear up the P1233, the P1000 should go away, I think.

It's possible that the presence of the P1233 is related to the pinging. If you're not getting sufficient fuel flow, it'll be running lean, which can lead to pinging. What's causing the P1233, I don't know...

well if i clear the code i still get the p1000 every time and I DONT get the 1233 ....

Is there any way to check it.... I have the x-cal and a laptop can i data log and watch a sensor to see....

I know there is a bunch of Fuel sensors I can watch just not sure which one I need to ....

see when I have the p1233 code my car is running fine...(still pings and doesnt ping) and Im not getting a light Im getting these when I check for DTC's with the X-Cal ...I cant find my scanner to see if i can runa nd clear them with that....If i clear with the x-cal its fast and Im not sure if that is a good thing or not...

Ive run the dtc after running the stock setup and still get the same code

You get the P1000 every time you clear the codes; that's the marker code for the OBD-II system to let it know that there may have been DTCs, and that it needs to get an "all clear" from everything it's monitoring. (At least that's how I understand it.) It sounds like that should automatically clear once the OBD-II system has gone through a complete cycle and gotten that all-clear.

What I'm saying is that whatever's causing the P1233 may be the root of the problem. It may not be throwing the DTC consistently, so it may not show up when you're looking for it, but it sounds like it's a recurring DTC for your car, so you need to chase that trail.

According to the blurb on FastPartsNetwork, the XCal2 can do data logging, but beyond that, I don't know...
