Lost of water leaking in...

What size tubing did you use? cause i am in the process of fixing it just need to get the tube size right
Almost 2 years to the day of when I started this thread, the hose came apart again. A 2 year fix isn't bad... but this time I'm going for forever.
Here's my fix:

Anyone what size tubing i should use to put around the connecter and the tube it self?

I used a few layers of shrink wrap. big enough to fit over the tubes unshrunk, and inside of the tube fully shrunk.

I'm having same problem, but i check all the lines and they are all connected none of them are loose so what i did is i put water on each corner and i notice that the driver corner line is clogged, any suggestion for this...

see what i did is pluged a 1/4 piece of tubing up the barbed connecter siliconed the crap out of it and also down the black and white piece of tube will that hold cause it takes a while for the water to drain i mean i am thinking that it is just a temporary solution until i am able to figure out a better way

Fixed mine today, inserted a vaccuum hose into the original black/white striped drain tube then worm clamped it to the sunroof drain nipple. Should be a permafix. Also removed all the old capped trash lug nuts and installed all new Gorilla ones, as well as cleaned each wheel inside and out because the LS is officially a spring/summer cruiser :)

Thanks for the info. It was raining crazy in NYC a couple a days ago and I noticed dripping on the driver side. Thank god its something I can fix on my own.

Thanks for all the info people I will try to fix my tube later today it's dripping on the driver side.

Once again thanks for all the information pictures and help thank god for lvc!!!

I had to do mine today, both driver and passenger. Removing the a-piller covers alone didn't provide enough space for me to access the drain nipple and hose. I removed the a-pillar covers, sun shade, center console, seat belt covers, front and rear passenger handles. This gave me enough room to work. The hose wasn't long enough, but if you angle it right and pull, you should get enough slack to work with. I used two small hose clamps to fix the hose to the nipple, it worked perfectly.

I should note that some people claim to have done this in 30 minutes... I'd like to hire them full time if that's the case. This was a day project for me, I took my time but removing the headliner (or at least freeing it enough to access the hose) takes time.

Also, I've read some places where people say there are 4 hoses... For the life of me, I couldn't find any hoses in the back, only 2 up front. Maybe I'm missing something...

having done this repair four or five times now, I probably could repair one side in close to 30 mins, knowing exactly how everything comes apart is a huge help. also most of everything just pops off except for a couple of phillips and torx screws.

the temperature also makes a huge difference when doing this, the first couple of times of attempting this were done in the winter after feet of snow melted and then froze back into ice cicles in the winter, the hoses were way too short and almost no matter how hard I pulled, they really didn't come much closer to reaching. the last couple of times have been while sitting in the hot ass sun during the summer. when hot, the hose had no problem stretching back and fitting over the nipple.

I promise you that those back two hoses are there. They run down the back pillars and through the trunk. Think about it. Water only flows down hill. You could be parked on any kind of slope. They had to put one in every corner because of this. (Beyond that, I've seen them on both of my LSes.)

I've seen the black and white hoses in the trunk, so yeah they are definitely there. Thankfully this is an easy and fast repair anybody should be able to do.

After I spent the afternoon putting everything back together... hahaha... I'll tear the back apart tomorrow to check those hoses. I bought 4 clamps, just in case ;)

Thanks!

I think mine was easy because I wasn't scared about bending the headliner down enough for access (I am also a small guy). Sometimes you just stop caring about what happens and you want the job done. Probably a bad thing.... lol

I'll try taking it down from the back seat this time. See how well it works :)

I'm having a leak towards the top of my driver side a-pillar but I don't think it's the sunroof drain hose. I've checked the sunroof hoses and they all seem to be connected and I used zip ties on the front two to hold them on. I've also poured water into the tray that the hoses drain and the water seems to drain fine (with no water showing up on the a-pillar).

My hunch is that the weatherstripping along the door is allowing some water in but nothing is visibly wrong with it. At first, it did seem like the weatherstripping was hanging a little low at about the level where water is appearing on the a-pillar, but I pushed it back up but the leak continues.

Anyone have this trouble where it turned out to be something besides the sunroof hoses?

It's hard to imagine water leaking there (A-pillar) from anything but the moon roof drain hose or the windshield gasket.

I forget the sizes but I used 2" of vacuum line hose and a male-male nipple. 3/8" ID maybe? I had the right size laying around so I didn't give it much thought.

Ive had this problem a bunch of times, three times it turned out a disconnected hose, one other time it turned out to be a clog in the line. but it wasn't fully clogged, it just need to rain heavy enough to become a problem.

not that it was difficult, but it was a PITA. lost both bottom clips off the A-arm covers. didn't even bother with the back 2 tubes.
