Loud front end knock ..any suggestions

I was driving normally , didn't hear any noises and out of nowhere I hear a loud knocking that seemed to increase as my speed did. I then pulled over put my car in drive and got on the gas to see if the knock was coming from the engine it wasn't. I also noticed if I pressed the brakes hard the noise would stop. I looked underneath didn't see anything obvious. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

My guess is it's brake related. Pull the front wheels off and take a look.

I'm going to do that before I take it to the mechanic but have you heard of a similar problems because my braking hasn't changed , I'm going to take the front wheels off tommorow and take a look , thanks for your help keep you updated

No clue and your description is a little vague to try to figure it out without looking at the car.

Literally JUST HAD THIS PROBLEM, bud! Check your tire, make sure it's tight and your studs are good. The SAME THING happened to me a few weeks ago, and my tire was falling off because the studs were breaking. Make sure all your lugs are tight before driving again!

+1 i about **** myself when this happend to my buddy, he was supposed to drive me to a concert that night.. we definitely would have lost a wheel on the highway that night

I drove for like 5 miles like that, had NO IDEA what it was and it scared the crap out of me. I didn't realize until I got home that my lug nuts were completely unscrewed and were hanging on for dear life. I ended up ruining my rim, but at least I didn't die, lol.

I had the same exact "symptoms". Stopped when breaking, louder as I accelerated, etc. I hope he checked this before driving today..

Wife's right front lugs were loose last week popping noise. Tightened all. They were finger tight. Should have checked them after mechanic worked on car.
