I am looking at lowering the ls. I have to replace the struts, so I figured that I better lower it since I am in there.

Just wanting some input on the brands and personal experience that you had with them. (would you buy them again)

I was looking more into the Eibach kit. I have it on my Cobra, I like the way that it lowered it but I used the pro kit and the ride is really stiff.
Would it be similiar to the LS?

Thanks

Eibach is the only choice you have. Unless you are lucky and happen upon another set that is most likely used.

No I have SpringTechs.

And yes I love it... Just have to relearn what your LS can travel over or rather cannot.

this topic has been covered EXTENSIVELY in recent history...

but i have eibachs and 20's and i think they're great, the ride isn't too much different than stock, and handling is amazing, but you do have to be very careful what you drive over (obviously).

i would def buy them again, just not with 20's

good luck

yes and most are after installation. Nothing really says if it worked out great over time, ect.

I was more intersted in problems with product over the years.

The Eibachs on the mustang changed the ride dramatically. One thing is it doesnt ride even close to what it did before.

Most people will say it improved the handling and ride.

I exclude my opinion on this topic because when I put the springs in, I also put on 'rubberband' tires.

I had Sprints in my car first, I like the stance the car had (lower than Eibachs) but hated how the front suspension would bang due to not enough travel/cant get stiff enough shocks. I have the Euro shocks in my car and they are as stiff as you can get supposedly, but not stiff enough.

I switched to Eibachs for 2 reasons, with my kids in the car the tires would rub on bumps and the front suspension banging on bumps. Overall I like the Eibachs better, no more banging in the front suspension or rubbing the tires. A little more wheel gap especially since I have 18's. If I went to 19's it would probably be ideal IMO.

Thanks Nick.

I am going to order the Eibachs this week.

I dont like the family to ride in the cobra cause of the stiff suspension. It is really hard and does bang sometimes. Not what you would like for a nice car to take out of town sometimes.

I will be adding some 18's to the car this spring sometime, unless I come across a great deal on some 19's.

Pay close attention to the offset and wheel width when lowered. You will want 45mm or greater offset and a 7 1/2 wide wheel to reduce the chance of rubbing.

eibachs are for pu$$ys, sprints/springtechs are the shit lol, but anyways... i have sprints so i have to be pretty careful and your not likely to find them or springtechs anywhere like stated above so just get eibachs, lowering it some is better then not lowering it at all

I have very few problems with my Eibachs. I scrape on my driveway, I can't park in the inclined driveway at my mom's house bcause I would rip the front bumper off, and really big potholes/bumpy roads will knock fillings out. I'm very happy with them other than those 3 minor things. I'm guessing my Eibachs lowered the LS about 1.5-1.75, so anything lower would make it so I couldn't park in my own driveway.

Eibachs.. I love them. "Ditto" on having to watch out for speed bumps, driveway angles. The better handling and stance it gives the car are worth the minor drawbacks.

Mine with Eibach's and 18's
