This may have been posted way back when (I did not find it when searching), but this is a link to an article on a fatal crash involving a 2005 Lincoln LS. I believe the driver (a firefighter) died.
The picture in the article does show what was left of the Lincoln.

How the hell can u wrap an LS around a light pole doing god knows what speed....yet hit a tree and split the car in 2?? how fast was he going?

It seems to be a pretty clean cut between the two pieces from the Boston Globe & masscops pics. It even looks like a clean cut of the drive shaft. I wonder how much of the cutting in 2 was done by the crash and how much was done by rescuers.
