I'm looking for either a put-together model kit of a Lincoln LS or a Die-Cast car. I'm going to make a sort of shadowbox with a high res picture of my LS and either a die cast model or a glue-together model of an LS. I know Hot Wheels and Matchbox did not make a Lincoln LS (SHAME!) but I was wondering if anyone's come across anything?

Try a company called Maisto. Don't know if they're still around, but they were the ones who made a Mark VII that was the same size as Matchbox/Hot Wheels cars.

Has never been made.

I talked to everyone. I talked to about ten of the most reputable model car makers and they finally pointed me in the direction of Ford. I talked to the person in charge of licenses at ford and they gave me the direct phone number to the company that builds their model cars. They basically told me that the license required to make a toy of an LS had never been bought or even applied for. So in short, if you find one let me know before they get sued. I spent about a week on this about a year ago.

Yep just like my luck. I collect models and have not seen a model of an LS. Similar to the situation with the Contour. No models at all.

It figures. Licensing is a bitch. They make models of so many BS cars. It's hard to find models of truly cool cars.

Try AMT and REVELL for model kits or if you have the money you can have a mold made and then you can sell it to local hobby shops like for rc cars and plastic model kits

One guy on the LLSOC site had an LS RC car mold made. It looked pretty good. It's the only one in existence that I know of:D

Wasn't that Chris Gorman that made that car? Speaking of Chris, is he still around?

That's him. It's a model of the OLOA car. I haven't seen him on the boards in awhile. Hopefully he won't mind me showing it off:)

That's rediculous about the model car situations. Nice idea about the RC car body. I used to run a couple of Team Losi XXXT trucks in middle school that would be perfect for this. Very nice RC body BTW.

Just sold my RC car and i have been checking local hobby shops for lincoln stuff,I have found a mark vii model , 92 thunderbird sc, and some matchbox old lincolns,if i see a lincoln ls i will let you guys know and if you saw mythbusters on discovery channel a couple weeks ago they made a plastic mold of a 67 impala on the show for the jet car launch
