i know many of you have seen the one LS with hydraulics slammed to the floor. well i was checking out some LS videos on youtube and saw this video which i hadn't seen. it's cool in a way but i'm not sure if he's dragging body or spark blocks. see for yourself

does he realize he's scraping the bottom of the car the entire time?

or does he know and is that the cool thing to do nowadays?

I've seen that one. Pictures and that specific video. Granted they did a LOT of chopping wells, and he probably has no trunk left, but I'm not a fan of the Broke look. You know, where it looks like the car is just sitting on the ground, no wheels attached, they are just sitting leaning against the car.

Good jawb dumass!

Not only is that bad for the bottom of the car, but its also a good way to break half-axles, ball joints, tie rod ends, etc.

reminds me of the time that I tried going offroading with my LS. I ended up replacing my oil pan, tranny pan with valve body, ouch!!!!!

That video was posted here before.

Being slammed is cool, parking on the ground is even cooler ( best anti wheel theft security ever;) ) but that dragging sh1t is dumb!

How ever, even though I don't agree with doing stupid stuff like dragging some FYI for you guys saying its bad for the bottom of the car, the bottom gets reimbursed you know. Metal plates and what not are added so it don't do much damage and in some cases of really good work not at all. I still hate that dragging crap!

For me I love dragging! I am a mini-trucker at heart and have had many vehicles with air-bags. My last truck was a full-size Chevy that was body-dropped to the doors so they would drag when I got out of the truck. That car has had a lot of time and money put in it and dragging one is just our way of showing each other how low it really is and they give you respect for it. Many people don't understand why so they talk :q:q:q:q about it not realizing the the amount of time and pride that person has in the vehicle. Here is a quote that sums up much of this type of car-customization, just like many others.

"We have become a part of something much more complicated than you or I will ever fully comprehend. We build more than just trucks ... we build friendships, we build futures, we build our dreams. We drive our trucks low and hold our to heads high, because we have an unwritten and unspoken agreement that we will live life to the fullest and never fall victim to 'the norm'. Others laugh at us when we spend hours on end working on our trucks, yet shake our hands when we are done." Clint Walker, aka Wyatt Strange.

I think thats the sickest ls ever I've always loved being slammed bodydrop all that, but its a matter of personal taste but to come on and bash on someone is just dumb, some people like to drag some people like racing and other stuff. As for being bad for the car that car was most likely done properly and been reinforced for dragging and am sure its just as bad to race your car which can lead to blowing your engine or tranny. My .02

by scraping the f--k out of it? if you say so.

im going to start a new trend of bulletproofing cars and then showing it off by unloading on it to show my pride in the vehicle.

Like I had said dragging is part of that custom scene. Its like when you see old lowriders with thousands of dollars in the cars and then they are bouncing the front end 3 feet off the ground going down the street. Also when people drag cars or trucks like that it doesn't do the amount of damage you would think.
