LS Shakes at 3000 RPM

I was pushing my rpm to 3000 to get some of the air out of my anti-freeze. Which I had changed couple days ago. When I reach 3000 RPM my car starts to shake. Has this happen to anyone? What could be the cause?

The rev limiter is set at 3000 RPM while in park (gen 1 only i believe)

So I am assuming this is a normal thing and not an engine problem. Is this some sort of safety feature against engine damage?

When you hit the limiter it starts cuting cylinders and makes it sound like it's missing real bad.
