Our LS has had this slight shaking problem ever since I replaced the coils. I researched the issue on here and found that this problem along with the hissing of air i was hearing probably was caused by the PCV Valve or Elbow.

So I am currently working on solving this issue. I have taken everything back off. The elbow actually looks fine, but the surrounding area is filthy and oily. I bought a new pcv valve and will be replacing it, i am thinking this may have contributed to the coils going bad because of the oil I found in the cylinders.

But I also ran into a couple of other issues that I figured where causing the problem. First issue I found was that same damn upper intake bolt that stripped on me and broken in half when I reinstalled the upper intake. I figured I was screwed! But luckily when I took everything off I was able to get the broke half out. Here are some pics of the bolt, dirty, pcv valve and the IAC

When i replaced the coils I put the new metal gasket on the EGR. It had another flimsy gasket that I kept on it. Is that needed? If so should i use some gasket seal on it? Also was wondering if the upper intake gaskets needed gasket seal.

i thought i found the IAC gasket had slid half way off but when i took it off it is designed to stick out.

Once I fix and clean up these issues I hope the shakes are gone. if not then I guess I will be taking it in to have it looked at. I will update what I find out.

any slight knocking or slapping noises by chance coming from front of the valve covers? had this same issue! glad i didnt change my coils(over 100 a pop x8) secondary tensioner went, leaving majour slack in the cam2cam chain ultimately leading to timing being out by a tooth and majour misfire...if you are mechanically inclined, reframe from the shop....that'll cost you retarded amount! its actually a fairly easy fix! let me kno if your car is having these symptoms and ill coach you through it! also check out http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/showthread.php?t=72431

Yes it's a v6. Im hoping the vibration had to do with one of the problems I saw. the bolt that was broken might have been letting air out. the PCV elbow was fine but there was oil present so I replaced the PCV Valve. I am also getting new coil connectors, when I replaced them the first time the connectors were old and 3 of the hooks that snap the coil in place broke. So I secured them with electrical tape, going to get new connectors for those. And replacing the lower intake gaskets. I hope fixing those issues does the trick. if not I will post back and see where to go from there.
