LS track car, mod questions

Hey All,
Found an 02' LS I wanna buy for $1000. Suitable for the track. Has about 118k miles.

Im gonna weight strip it, run a track tune I got years ago, and do a straight pipe (from headers). This will cause CEL from 02 sensors.

Will the LS limp mode with no 02's? And if so, can I disable them with Forscan? Any suggestions would be very helpful.

Some people get "dummy" O2's. to fool the ecm.

I'd be more concerned about running "lean" , unless you plan on dumping gobs of fuel.

No the car will not go into limp mode as long as the front two O2 sensors are in place . They are responsible for the fueling the rear ones are only for emission warning, so you can run it without catalytic converter with CEL warning about "catalyst efficiency low" or whatever is the warning for that in the LS.
