LSE upgrade time

OK. its time to upgrade my 05, so I purchased the bumper LSE bumper cover kit special from team ford. Looks pretty complete. Rocker panels to come later as soon as the $450 per side price drops.
The cover goes to the paint shop this monday.

The question I have for everyone is should the lower grille be painted black or the body color ?

By the way, the old bumper and lights will be for sale.

if it was me - I'd paint the whole car black - but that's just me.







sorry - I know that was no help. Actually - painting the lower grill black and outlining it with a 'small' chrome lip would be very nice - IMHO.

The kit came with that chrome outline strip,
but your supercharger was backordered.

Huh? Paint the whole car black? You flipping the bill for that? :D
 
Keep the lower front grill black, it adds a nice contrast to the car

The kit only fits 03+ and is about $480 from team ford.
I think LSConcepts sells the 00-02 kits.

Can anybody photoshop the bumper cover in all blue for
effect ?
 
I am sure it's gonna look really nice. It would be better to paint the grill black and put the chrome little part on.

Hrlincoln, I think You and me are the only ones here that have blue LSs, although different blues.
 
Black out the lower grill and install the chrome pc., they look good that way. Then I would put a black insert on that upper grill, but thats me. Maybe check that out without the chrome lower pc.

Fog lamps were $37 a piece + the brackets to hold them in to the front bumper were $46 a piece. Then you also need to buy a new harness for the fog lamps which was $20 for the pair.
 
Do you have a part number for the new wire harness? The harness is not part of Team Ford's package deal, right? Thanks for the help...
 
Well I took it to the paint shop today and decided to have the grille painted black, which I had to request because they wanted to leave the plastic unpainted. I pretty sure they are painted black at the factory. I asked about painting the rockers to, but they said it wouldn't stick over the long term.

I should have photo's by Friday.
Blue would have been an interesting experiment though.

I called my friend at the lincoln dealer, he said that it was black in the center of all the dark colored vehicles. He could not say if it was painted black, or just how the bumper came to you. But it was not body colored.
 
Is the H11 connector the same as the H8? H8 is what came with my LSE fogs that I bought from Team Ford.
 
H8 has the same socket as the H11. Only the H8 is a very low wattage bulb. H11 is the way to go.
 
Not sure yet if I want to part out the bumper assembly. I would rather sell it as a complete unit , just to get rid of it quickly.

You will get about $200 for the complete assembly on Ebay. I sold a silver one so it was a more common color.
