lumber support went POP

Has anyone every had their lumbar support pop? It actually made a pop noise followed by the seat back deflating. I was just wondering if it was hard to get to, to see if the bag popped or if there is a supply tube that came off.

I had that happen to my Mustang. It was an easy fix. Don't know the cost because it was under warranty.

one of my friends kicked the back seat panel out far enough that i got a chance to look in there.. its just a spring attached to a plastic piece that bends.. if you pull back the seat backing you can see it down there and the backs held on with a few clips if i remember right.. good luck

Had this happen in my 89 Mustang GT, never filled up the lumbar all the way on any Ford product since. Hope you can get it fixed, wish I could help, but never had 1st hand experience with repairing one.

Thank you. This should get me a lot closer to figuring out the problem. Hopefully I can get at the lumbar assembly without having to mess with the SRS.
