Hello Forum Monkeys!

I've owned my 2004 Lincoln LS V8 7 years now. As any self respecting car owner I use the knowledge of others in car forums and, of course the Google juggernaut to pilfer every bit of info available.

So the time has come to hang up the lurker badge and become an official member here. It's also time to give all the current members and contributors a huge round of applause and a token of my gratitude for the large amount of post I've been reading the past few years. If the time ever presents itself - I'll buy ya a soda!

I look forward to contributing any information I can - and hopefully it won't be a redundant re-post, but nevertheless, it might give those other newbies more to chew on when the use the powerful search feature!

Cheers and happy motoring!

Welcome Echo. Ha, when and where I grew up, we always referred to soda as "pop"...I still do as a matter of fact.

So...in the last 7 years, how many miles have you logged on your LS, and how much of your hard earned money have you thrown at it? :)

She had 25 when I bought her and now sits with 85k. I've replaced a couple coils and more recently replaced the driver side wheel hub/bearing. I've been diagnosing a no heat /bad degass bottle, dccv issue with some success by replacing the dccv and a leaking upper radiator hose (plastic piece had hairline leak).

So, until recently my outlay has been regular maintenance items and mostly worry free ownership. She's paid for, has styling that fits my tastes, and can pull my race bike to the track comfortably, so she'll get the attention needed to remain road worthy.
