Has anyone used a MAF sensor cleaner, particularly the one made by CRC? Says if sensor is dirty, this stuff will add 4-10 HP to the wheels. Its like $7 for than Id ever need so it sounds like it might be worth a shot.

i did it at 120K on my car.... made it run a lot smoother and idle better. id say its worth the couple bucks

i use it alot at work. they never used it before but i made them a believer in it. works great on K&N cars.

My car has a stutter/hesitation that comes and goes. It will stutter, then kick in full power and throw you back in the seat, then stutter again. I replaced the spark plugs, the fuel filter and used a bottle of seafoam. The check engine light was on but has been off since i changed the fuel filter. I pulled the codes and at first I got cylinder 8 misfire but that code has come and gone. Any ideas of where I should look next?

Idk what year u have. Im assuming a gen2. check your coils.

electrical contact cleaner is what i use as well. CRC MAF sensor cleaner adds 4-10 HP to the wheels??? and the sticker that comes with the bottle will add another 5 HP...LOL. come on now!

I just used it the other day on my 96, no noticeable difference but the MAF housing looked really clean before I used it and I have a K&N.

i have a 97, 133K miles. I really hope it isnt the COP's, theyre insanely expensive.

Check the boot of it first and make sure its not f'ed up. If you could try swapping one coil for another and then scan it, it might give you a better idea of whether the coil is bad or not by whether the misfire is now on the cylinder in which you swapped the coil.

I just used it a couple of hours ago and it helped smoth out my idle quite a bit, now I need to change the plugs.
