Anyone know anything about them? I am thinking about picking one up cause I really like the look and the room for the family, and the 6.1 hemi. I am keeping both the marks, but the truck has got to go. Its a great truck but the $600 a month is getting annoying. So any opinions or things to look for are appreciated.

This is awesome:
Motor Trend Test Results:[3]

0-60 mph: 5.1 sec
0-100 mph: 11.7 sec
Standing 1/4-mile: 13.1 sec @ 108 mph (174 km/h)

Never liked them...look like a charger had a one night stand with a herse.......but hey...your choice :p

If I was gonna go for a damn "estate" or wagon look in that price range I'd hit a RS4

B4 we bought our navigator we had a magnum. It wasnt the srt8 but i loved the car anyways. It seems like whoever has to sit in the backseat still has enuff leg room. I also think it was a lot a fun to drive.

I can put you in touch with my best friend, he has a magnun SRT-8, power is awesome, it hates gas though, it keeps spitting it out. I love driving it. Lots of aftermarket parts.

SRT 8, or the new name, the FIAT 8.

Never much cared for them. Too many people buy them and think they are the hottest thing in town. Most people I've seen driving them think they are hot chit.

But the main reason I don't care for them? It's a FIA... errr DODGE product.

But if YOU like it, then get it. Don't worry about what some pinheads on the internet say about it.

My friend ordered one of the first ones made and hates it. Lots of suspension problems, poor gas mileage, rear cargo lift over. He swears he'll never get another dodge product. Thats all I know.

I don't really care for the station wagon look but if I was going that route,it would have o be the 300c srt8 or the jeep grand cherokee srt8;)

well, the more you try and duplicate those numbers, the more fuel you'll use.
actually know a guy in town with a hemi pickup. says mileage is terrible when he drives, but not bad when his wife drives.
so mileage will vary with driving style.
they are a good full size family car.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm still doing some research and havent decided yet. But I need to get a family car and those sparked my interest. I also liked the fact that they are kinda rare. I dont want somethingt hat everyone else has and the fact they were only made for 3 years helps. They might even become a collectors item one day.

I'm also looking at the BMW 540, and maybe even (cant believe I'm saying this) ... an LS.

BTW, petesweets, your still on my ignore list so why dont you stay out of my threads and STFU.

Not that I am a Mopar Fan, but with the purchase of an SRT-8 you get the SRT-8 experience, basically you get to drive the viper srt-10, ram srt-10 and the charger, 300, and magnum. My friend had to drive 700 miles to get his, he got a 2008 with 6000 miles, never titled, for 27thousand

Yeah I think so, he got his new because it was never titled, i think it was the dealership owners car, dont hold me to that! I will give you his Email adress, when he calls me back. He always finds them like that, been trying to get me to get one. I am a charger fan, only because he has the Magnum. LOL

i say go for it man. stay in an american car. the performance vs. utility is awesome on those cars and like posted above, the gas mileage is dependant on driving style.

All I can tell you about the Magnums is that the few in which I've ridden have had absolutely horrid interiors--they looked like Chrysler invested a whole five minutes of product development time and whatever spare change they could find in the break room couch on them. They actually made Pontiac interiors look good...
