Maintenance Costs for Luxury cars

I'm just wondering what the average maintenance costs for the Lincolns and Cadillacs compared to other american cars.

well speaking from an insurance standpoint lincolns are 17 out of 20, and fords are 5/20

It really really depends on your vehicle. If you drive a mid nineties towncar you may not put anything in the car at all beyond oil changes. If you drive an 89 continental you may have spent twice the money you bought the car for fixing it. The same is true for a mid eighties seville with a 4100 motor. Very expensive, or an early nineties deville you may not have had to do any work.

Well... What I'm trying to think of is how the parts compare in price for say... a common lincoln compared to a common Ford.

For example, everyone talks about how expensive it is to maintain a BMW, but they say it's cheap to maintain say... an 86 Pontiac Parisienne.

I know that's a bad comparison... but it shows what I'm trying to get at....

I have heard Caddys are expensive to repair. I hope not, I plan on having my 92 DTS a long time!!
