I was banned for saying "ass", and it was actually because I quoted someone in a reply. No warning, just a ban.
 
can't stand that place, pretty sure their forum software was developed while mark viiis were still rolling off the assembly line

Agreed. In fact, their 'over moderation' actually makes their search function more effective.

Huge wealth of info in their archives, too.
 
I love Cal's site. I cant even begin to count how many loyal members we have because of his moderation style.
 
Ya, I was on the org for a REALLY long time and didnt even know this place existed till I hit up Jaime on facebook and he told me to come over here. A whole different place over here. This site has the feeling like all the M8 owners are just kinda allowed to BS and talk about what ever we want in our little section. And its nice that if you just make a post about the bad day you had at work, or a funny video you found on youtube, it doesnt get moved to a different forum. We kinda get to keep out little click, I dont wanna talk to the LS owners or caddy owners, I like my Mark8 peeps. I am still a member over there, but havent logged in in probably 3 months. Maybe I should just make a post titled F*CK the F*CKING, F*CKERS! Instaban, i'm sure. Oh, and does everyone remember when J got banned? Always wondered what happened to him.

I do not have anything bad to say about that site. I bought my M8 because of the technical section over there, and the help that they gave when I was considering the purchase. I really like their tech help section, but the problem I had with the site was that it wasn't very active.

This site is much more freewheeling and quite a bit more contentious at times, but you can always get an answer in an hour or two.

Both sites have f'ing search function nazis, but I guess that's true of all boards. :D

I met Bill there, which means I'm now putting on my own struts, I got a free M8 there, but I don't cuss that much when I post, so maybe I just have better luck then some of you all. :)

It's a pity he's such a pain to deal with, because the information over there is first class.

Shame.
 
Ive been warned a few times, but never banned. There are some members there that I wish would come over here, but we all know how that goes. The only reason I ever go there anymore is to lurk around the classified section. They have no members anymore and sometime you can get stuff pretty cheap.
 
i was :q:q:q:qing banned for posting a link to the local news about the death of evel knievel lmfao i dont need to be part of that rediculousness.
but the best part is, i am a member there with a different name just to see if cal tries to sue me for 500 dollars for making a new name after being banned, like it says in his R.O.C lmfao come get the money douche bag.
 
I got banned for mentioning Jaime's name to somene who was looking for parts. I think CL is anal retentive.
 
I got banned for mentioning marked8 who mentioned jaime97LSC who wrote the word Geno when describing a pizza place in Chicago. Go figure.:D
 
I just out of curiosity decided to log on to the ORG. I should just say that I am now bleeding out my ears and my nose and my eyeballs. What a :q:q:q:qhole.

if anyone wants to get banned just post a link to this thread. he might just waist his day by re banning all of us all i did was post a link to my suspension build i thought it would be a helpfull resourse as all i see over there is strutmasters. and then i found this place and i feel like i have been blessed with a text book and i feel like i have been cramming for finals trying to learn all the mk8 tbird cougar suspension stuff yhank you to the guy that set this place up:V:Beer:yourock:

but i did get kicked off of here because of a spam filter issue for a day

No....Its not first class if you consider the tire & wheel section to be technical on ANY level. The information contributed as of current is laughable as is the rest of that site along with its pig ignorant followers.

I was and still am a user of .org....in my opinion it has never really been an overly popular site, I use it like many others who treat it more like a library, the people over there are very stuck in their ways, and they have overly strict rules regarding content and language. I joined this site because the people here aren't afraid to get their hands dirty, or think outside the box with their modifications. If your looking for some straight forward stock information on the markVIII you may find it here, but if your looking to mod this is a better forum...imho.

I was banned for having too many lines in my signature which was a blank space seperating the other lines taking me one line over the limit.

Nice eh?? What I would give to just have a few hours on that site to delete all my posts.

fukk da org! i think im still a member unless ive been banned and just dont know it...........dunno ive posted there prob 3 times and that was before i joined LvC i was the "thread killer" if i posted something no one would ever respond and the thread would die. i agree that the atmosphere here is alot like a bar/shop bunch of people giving each other shyt all in good fun, no need to run to the CAL GOD to fix everything. maybe i should make a post over there showing my a couple of my tatts lolol
