Mark VIII Craigslist finds!!!

This one seems somewhat nice from the outside but is plagued with that two tone dash stuff that I don't agree with all to often on the Mark. Not fond of the rims either

However, Dude is asking 9 stacks for this Mark and doesn't list any engine or other mechanical upgrades. You see something like gauges along the inner A pillar, but a shot of the engine bay reveals stock equipment.

I guess you'd be paying for purely cosmetic upgrades that are half good.

This one's been posted on this very thread before. It's been on CG for a few months now.

HA! you guys are funny. I wonder how hard ya'll will bash me when I post the Mark I bought barely 2 months ago! LOL I've owned Lincolns all my life, and thought the love would carry over into the coupe, but the lack of space has become an issue with teenage kids, and a chunky wife (add to that my fat ass) and it just isnt working out. I should have known better when I bought it, but the adrenaline rush got the best of me. Gotta get back into a TC.

98 CE #554 Houston,TX $2800

Used to be LVC member "Blair" car, he bought it from LVC member "Gman" and I figure I'd start here to see if anyone had interest before posting it on CL.

221k on the chassis 105k on the engine (at least that was what Blair said)

Some minor cosmetic stuff but a real strong runner. I am taking it back to the shop tomorrow or the next day, I replaced the brake lines, calipers and driver side rear shock mount 2 weeks ago, and while the clunk from the rear is gone, the car is still vibrating at the steering wheel and pulling to one side. I've already put a little money into the car, but obviously not trying to recoup that. I'll do a proper Ad/Link to sale soon. (for the meantime you could look up Blairs old Ad and get an idea of what the car looks like - sorry to hijack your AD Blair! LOL)

The car is definitely well known here. It's cordovan(dark red). Decent car if I recall correctly.

I went and looked at it because it was 6 blocks from my house, 107K miles, been sitting on a porous concrete floor for 5 years because (I think) the oil filter adapter gasket let loose. There is some rust under the car from sitting on floor but the rest of the car (except trunk lid) was beautiful. I've never seen a gen I interior that nice before. Even the headlights still looked good.

The air bags were deflated so it may or may not need a coil over suspension. Green Machine, you should replace your car with this one.

A good buff job and you would have a nice car. Don’t think I could get it for the price I want it for though. Still wants 2k for a non running mark with slammed air bags, worth $300 the way I see it..

Reminds me of mine when I got it..sat in the garage all the time with a layer of dust on it (not that bad though) Paint cleaned up beautifully after a wash buff and wax...but yeah $2k is a tad high for a non running mark. What's wrong with the trunk lid? Are those chrome 20 spokes or snowflakes?

That's my old CE I sold to Blair, and yes, there is 105K on the motor. I'd hate to see my car get abused any further. Buyers remorse??:shifty:

97 Conti - No one fixes that up. Maybe thats a parts car at $500.
98 Mark - Definately not a parts car at $1500. That's a fixer upper! The body and interior look nice. Install a good motor and you have a nice ride with octis!
I can't comment on the t bird.

97, BoB, 'mint' (except for the backwards rims)

That's almost pricey as the Collector's Edition I posted in this thread back in Feb where seller was asking 8 stacks!! YIKES!!

Seller has reposted for $7500

This cat right here throws me off.

I bought those rims from him that are shown in the pics for 200 since he had a separate ad for them and I was looking for another set of chromes for the BA since the K4 has a set. He showed me the CE that was sitting on what looked like Bullitts and said he could do $6000, but I said it's still too pricey for me, wished him luck on the sale and took off with the wheels.

He's a cool cat and all, but maybe he'd have better luck selling it he'd just offer it for 6k online like he told me.

It's a hot car, alright.

State Agency VEHICLE WAS ON FIRE (Case #:043130203)

My guess is it was either very minor, or it was fixed up very well. It looks nearly new!

Asking $2k but open to offers, as well...now it's got me curious, too!
