The better remote start kits have a PATS bypass module. The car has to be programmed for that module the same way as adding another key.

Mount the key in the dash ?

Yes back around 15 years ago you would just program a uncut key and mount it in the dash to bypass the Pats system. Like behind the stereo.

Hmm okay because I’m tryna install a viper alarm/ auto start system , my installer says just want as much info as possible before I drop the cash on the unit , 150 because it’s in a unopened box viper 5900
