Mark VIII Trunk Emblem

Brand NEW Lincoln trunk emblem (trunk key hole cover). This came with my Mark VIII and was new in the plastic. I took it out but never installed it. It has been sitting on my desk for a couple of weeks tops. $25 shipped.

No, that is not new OEM. They never made them with a red back ground, and judging by all the nicks and marks in the chrome, it certainly isn't new.

There are no nicks or scratches. Have you ever tried taking a picture of a chrome item before? Also, if not from Ford, why is there a Ford logo engraved in the back above a part number? In addition, how would it have come out of a bag labeled Ford?

I'm selling it as I believe it to be. I personally took it out of the bag a couple of weeks ago.

If you have useful information to share for me or the buyer, fine. However, your commentary is a demonstration that you do not know what you're talking about. Find another thread to play "know it all" in.

It's cool. Shiny things are hard to photo. Either too much light and you get a glare (like this pic) or not enough and you can't see anything. I had to go with the lesser of the two evils.

the factory ones dont look as red as that one does, i have restored these and had to find a red that was as close as i could get it looks like this one has also been repainted on the backside of the plastic lense, if you did remove it from a new bag it could just be the flash making the red look different. weird how some camera's can actually make somethinglook nothing like in person!
 
Again, the flash is making this look weird. In person, to me, it appears that it is a thin piece of transparent red plastic affixed into a chrome bezel. It has a legitimate appearing Ford logo engraved in the back along with a part number and some other engravings. I personally took it out of a labelled bag.

If I had the means to upload a picture from my phone to my laptop here at work I'd show you guys to get this conversation over with.

I priced one out for my car a short bit ago and it was no where near $100 retail like that link you posted says. You gave sean a great deal, but they are only about $55 new (up here at least)...
