Hey guys, my name is Frank, and have searched through the forums for answers to issues I have had concerning my MarkVIII for awhile now; I'm currently 19 and the proud owner of my second Lincoln MarkVIII! I first bought a 1993 MarkVIII off of a neighbor in order to drive to and from Houston for work and as a daily driver, rather than putting those miles on my truck...it definitely wasnt a pretty MarkVIII! After driving it for about 10 months, I made a poor decision and took a curve too fast and found the brick sign leading into the my neighborhood (luckily no one was around and no houses are at the front). I definitely learned my lesson and paid for my mistakes. I ended back up in my truck, burning fuel at a rate of 12mpg, so I was on the hunt for another vehicle. While on Craigslist, I came across several MarkVIII's and drove many, not yet finding one i liked, just as i was about to shop for something newer I ran across a 1995 Lincoln MarkVIII with only 50 thousand miles! So naturally I had to go look, I get there and the car does not run! :/ The airbags are deflated, the battery is shot and the fuel pump wouldn't kick on, but for some reason I couldn't get away from it, so eventually I came back with my grandfather and a mechanic and made an offer. We eventually settled for what I still think was too much due to the mechanic trying to make a deal happen and kept making offers with money that wasn't his! Well anyway I got the car, had it towed and got to work immediately, without the use of said mechanic lol. I ordered a new fuel pump and installed it promptly, took the suspension off of my previous MarkVIII and installed it in place of the airbags, put in new spark plugs and spark plug wires and so far so good! In short, I'm looking forward to becoming a part of the boards and hopefully I can offer some assistance to someone down the road, because I know y'all have all been helpful to me! The new one has a few knicks, it needs a good buff job and the bumpers repainted but all in all she's not bad. I ALMOST FORGOT! After buying my Mark, my brother fell in love with them as well and went out and bought a 1998 LSC Collector's Edition! He made an account but can't remember his username but I'll either get pictures of it up whenever I see him again or have him recover his account.
