Hey everyone!

I've posted here a couple times but looking to get more active and get to know some of you.
I've had my '00 LS for a couple years now, but have only started doing little changes recently.
First thing I did was apply a bit of a smoke to the tail lights - I think it cleans up the back end really nicely.

Couple Basic Pictures




Decided to start with some simple grill work







My first big project is fitting a set of RE Audio XXX6.5c components in the doors.
As you all know, the speaker mounts are just short of being able to fit 6.5 speakers; and in my case, the doors aren't deep enough for the serious hardware I'm going for.
All that being said, my brother and I are doing up some custom mounts where the 6x8 holes usually would be.

The molds are curing for tonight; I'll be sure to post pictures of them when they're popped.
I'll update this thread whenever something new comes around, but this is it for now.
This is what I've got planned indefinitely.

1. 15" Sub in the trunk (Already have, just need to make a box)
2. Angel Eyes
3. Repaint the front bumper (already paid for)
4. Black interior? (Maybe)
5. 20" 5-spoke rims, nothing picked out yet.

I encourage suggestions, feedback, etc!

Looks good! I'm on the fence about tinting my tails too.

Check out how some of us have installed the 03-04 mustang Mach 1 chin spoiler, it adds an aggressive look to the front!

This was on my old '00 Sport with wire mesh grilles and clear corners also.

That looks incredible! I've been looking for clear corners but haven't gotten them quite yet, due to all the ones I've found being painfully expensive.
I LOVE that chin spoiler though..how hard is that to do?

The chin spoiler takes an afternoon to do and to remove the front bumper cover is a cinch!

The clear corners you can do yourself without having to buy anything. Here is another old thread that points you in the right direction anyway. If you have the grey sealant headlights you can warm them in the stove and then pull them apart and remove the amber then reheat and press together. Afterwards use a good sealant or caulk to keep the moisture out.

No problem! Definitely thinking I should go in that same direction.
I'll look into the chin lip for the next couple weeks and see what I can find.
As for the clear corners, that sounds so insanely simple
I'm considering doing an angel eye installation in my existing headlights so I'd probably do that all at the same time.

I did the chin spoiler and was able to retain the factory chin trim, meaning I retained all the factory splash shield mounts. It took cutting on both the spoiler and the factory piece, some squeezing, and 6x [~1 or 1.5" #8 bolt + nut + 2 washers]. I'll hopefully be removing the bumper in the next few weeks and will post pictures.

I got mine in ebay because it matches the factory trim, whereas the American Muscle spoiler is waaaay too shiny... even on the proper Mustang, IMO.

For ~$60 and a few hours, it's well worth it. When you stand in front of the car, about 10 feet away, the way the fenders curve inward, they seem to line up perfectly with the angled (stretched) shape of the chin spoiler...

Wow that really does look incredible. I'll be doing this almost indefinitely.

Thanks. I haven't see anyone do anything to the LSE bumper. The way it curves at the sides makes it difficult. Actually, I haven't seen anyone do anything to the Gen 2 bumper either, for the same reason. Can't speak for the Gen 1 LSE because there's only like 1 of them on LVC at a time

So these interior door sheets..do they serve any purpose aside from cleaning up the look of the door a little? (As you can see I've butchered them quite a bit..the adhesive wore out.)
After installing some speakers they're doing nothing but rattling. They're more of a pain than a benefit to me at this point, so am I safe to just take them off and trash them?

Possibly, but I know some of mine are not sealed on everywhere and I don't get any drips.

I also know (you can guess how) that if you don't calk those membranes onto the BMW doors, the interior will fill with water the next time it rains. It's like those doors are designed to channel water into the car if not blocked by those barriers with a water tight install.
Some hack that the previous owner had replace a window regulator cut half of one of mine off. I had to construct and calk a new one in. Then I had to recaulk the other three doors. I don't think that two of them had ever been opened, its just that the factory caulking failed.

I'm just curious because mine is barely hanging on in almost every spot imaginable..you can see by all the tape I've used.
Doesn't seem to do much, but I could always go back and check on a rainy day. I'm not sure it works the same way as BMW's door membrane.

I am very sure that it does not. Both of my LSes would be dripping if it did. Of course rather than rip it out and replace it, you could take it off and just put some mild adhesive on it and put it back on. Some of the spray on stuff might be good enough.
