And the rear bumper looks smashed in... but it could very well be my cataracts getting the best of me

Haha I don't think he'd put very beautiful car if the bumper was smashed in, although I have seen dealers list LS's that don't have heated /cooled seats and they even have the cassette player in them. Base base models and they'll say it's loaded.

Once I even found a super low mileage ls by a private seller so I called about it. I asked what options it has and the guy goes oh you know all the options , "air conditioning, cruise control, airbags". I was like dude are you kidding me. What car these days does not have that. So then I asked specifically "nav? No. Sunroof? No. Back up sensors? No. Chrome wheels? No. He then goes this was my parents car and they wouldn't know how to use any of that stuff. I say so it's a base model? And he hung up.

It only had 17k but this was 2 months ago and he was asking 18900. IMO way to high for nothing + it was tan.

If it was black and had them miles and every option though I probably would have been willing to pay 17500.
 
I hate that.

Very few cars nowadays dont have power windows or abs as a standard option. Back a few years ago cars were still being made with roll up windows and drum brakes.

Lots of vehicles still come with drum brakes actually.
 
I would get it to swap out the engine and cooling system parts with mine and resell it. LOL.
 
Jettas come with rear drum brakes.

Thats why they had all those advertisements about Jettas being more affordable because they cut costs in certain areas.
