One of my rear deck stock subs is blown, so I'm going to replace both with some CDT CL-69 6x9's. Is a monoblock amp fine for these, or should I be lookin at a multichannel amp?
Here are the specs on the 6x9's:
Power Handling: 100Watt RMS/200Watt Music. (100Hz high pass)
Frequency Response: 45 ~ 4000 Hz
Nominal Impedance: 4 Ohms
Voice Coil Diameter:1.5" (45mm)
CL-69 the perfect subwoofer:
Driver data: Model CL-69 Sub/woofer
Stamped Steel Frame
Fiber Glass Cone
Buytal surround
Diameter: 6X9" (150X230 mm)
Mounting Depth: 3.5"
Sensitivity: 90.1 dB
CDT Audio CL69 CDT Audio CL 69 6x9" 200 Watts Mid-subwoofers CL 69 CL-69
And this I was thinking about getting the following amp:
Rockford Fosgate Prime 250 Watt Mono Amplifier
Number of Channels 1
Rated Power
(RMS Continuous Power) 150 Watts x 1 @ 4-Ohms
250 Watts x 1 @ 2-Ohms
Total Power
(Sum of Rated Power) 250 Watts
Dynamic Power
(PVC/PowerCube® Measurement) 285 Watts
Bridgeable No
Efficiency (average) 66.1% @ 4-Ohm
58% @ 2-Ohm
Crossover Controls Low Pass (LP): 40Hz-130Hz @ 12dB/octave Butterworth
Tone Controls Punch Bass: 0dB to +12dB @ 45Hz
Signal Input Low Level: 1 RCA pair
Signal Output Low Level: 1 RCA pair
Power Input Connector Screw terminal barrier strip
Power Wire Gauge 4 AWG
Speaker Output Connector Screw terminal barrier strip
Speaker Wire Gauge 8 AWG
Heat Sink Type Extruded Aluminum
Cooling Convection
Remote Controls Punch Level Control
(when connected, is linked to "gain control" to provide remote output level)
Visual Indicators Power
Protect
Circuit Topology Class Class A/B
Frequency Response 20Hz to 130Hz +/-1dB
