89 switches or maybe just one
The location of the stock switch is in the ceter of the upper console.
An aftermarket switch can be mounted anywhere including the left front marker light lens.
What's the status of this purchase?

if..the aftermarket....
...route is the way to go in order to get the roof opening and closing again.
Do you have any suggestions on what type of universal switch to get, and if so, where to mount the new switch?

I find it so hard to believe that after months of searching online, ebay- here -and numerous sites...
checked with salvage yards and mechanics....
AND NOBODY HAS A #$%^&*((^$#$%^ sunroof switch for my ride.
How is it that all the mark 7 owners across the states, who like myself collect used parts for all those "just in case" times, does NOT HAVE A SINGLE MOONROOF SWITCH. After market which is not OEM, which is not the route i want to go.... SEEMS TO BE THE ROUTE I HAVE TO GO.
Im very disappointed with the online mark 7 community or the lack there of.
Since April 20, 2008 I HAVE HAD NO SUNROOF...
it is now Aug. 21 2008.
I JUST DONT GET IT.
Why the heck did LINCOLN make that switch so unique that its not found for any other device. A window switch would have been just fine on the upper console. In fact i feel that the window switch would have looked better because of the unity of the interior.
Whatever.
