Most expensive free car I have ever owned.

My old man, much to the family's relief, decided to stop driving last September.

He gave me his 2005 Lincoln LS Sport V8. Wow. Great car.

Then the repair bills started coming in. Wow again. Over $5,000 in seven months.

• fuel cap and license plate bracket $122
• Used car inspection, wheel alignment, differential service, pulling door lock code $500
• Wheel bearing $250
• Rebuilt transmission $3800
• Replace driver's door window regulator $430
• plus the usual oil/filter/wiper blade changes
• plus title/taxes/insurance

And I'll be needing tires soon.

I am too old for this , and much of it has been stuff I just can't do myself in a parking lot. I am really wondering how long I can afford to keep this car.

Same situation here , It was a gift , I'm trying to keep it on road , I think it still being a good car of course too old (mine 2001 v8) but I love it xD,nice front shape.
