Had to take the MKZ for a little road trip yesterday. On the way down to Kentucky, it got 24mpg at 78mph. I was driving. I have a bit of a lead foot.

On the way back, the wife was driving. Now we could only do 60mph. The speed censor in my truck went out. It was in default mode. So the rpms were limited to 1600 in 9th gear. The wife was behind me. Basicly drafting, On the way back, the MKZ got 33mpg. Barely used a quarter tank.

In the city my wife consistently got around 22 MPG in our Zephyr and she sppeds some and uses the A/C whether its hot or not. I never really tracked any trip we took, but I know I could get 27 MPG out of my 02 LSE on the highway going around 70-75. not bad for a V8. in the city I got 19 consistently and in my 06 I still get right around 19.1.
What do you get out of your LS?

I am right at 18mpg in the LS. The wife gets 20mpg in the MKZ. I took the LS to Kentucky a few years ago. Got 24mpg at 75mph.

International with M14 Cummings. 970,XXX miles on it.
