whats going on guys? I was just browsing MSD's site for some replacement coil packs. are these a good soild replacement for the motorcrap one's we have, and would they work? I have the MSD superconductor wires, so they should work well together. any suggestion would be helpful. thanks!

I havent used them myself, but word is their good. Im sure someone here has experience with them.

I have not heard anything bad about MSD coils. Or Accel coils, which by the way are about 20.00 less each than the MSD's. JEG'S has both available in their catalog.

Just run Nology's on stock coils and blow away ny other combo with a lifetime warranty to boot. 100,000 watts! Capacitive discharge coils are ALL the same.

Stock coils are WAY MORE than enough for your car.
I ran them on my 620RWHP supercharged car, I THINK they have enough spark to light off your engine.
Oh ya, on Ford Motorsport wires too.

I have Screamin Demon coilpacks and have no complaints about getting them. If your stock coilpacks have more than 100k on them might as well replace them. Plus the Screamin Demon's are cheaper than Motorcraft or MSD.

I also have Screamin' Demons. They have worked well for me.

Don't hate Motorcraft coils; they're actually very good; my Screamin' Demons were cheaper though.

but i heard that the screamin demons coil packs you need to upgrade to better (and more expensive) spark plugs!

I have the MSD's on my car.
Works good, I also have the AEM DIS ignition.
I spin the engine to 7700rpms, with over 20lbs of boost at 7700rpms. My ford 12c plugs are gapped at .045 and they never blow out.

The stock coils should probably be fine, but I have no issues with the MSD's plus they look cool.

You don't need special spark plugs, just aftermarket wires.

thanks, but i already have good aftermarket wires. i read that the screamin demons are "too hot for normal plugs".

Open up your spark plug gaps to a whopping.065" when you install our Screamin' Demon Coil Packs. By producing a fatter spark, fuel is burned more efficiently and power is gained. No drop off in power as RPM's go up. Your spark plugs stay cleaner longer. The Screamin' Demon Coil Packs are easy to install, mounting in the original equipment location. They are completely epoxy filled for improved heat transfer and vibration resistant. The Screamin' Demons are too "hot" for stock plug wires.

I ran my Screamin Demon coils with MSD wires and copper Autolite 764's for over a year with no problems. I just installed the 103's last plug change though.

ok guys, i am going to go with the denso spark plugs very soon. will they work well with our stock coil packs? thanks!
