I've just got done a rad change.. i've filled wit coolant @ the crossover tube, overflow reservoir is full on cold. Im trying to do the burp a time or two to make sure all the air is out. so i start it up , add coolant to cross over tube?
reservoir is full on cold - cap to the reservoir gos back on. when do you put the crossover tube cap back on.. when u see a steady steam of coolant flowing past.?

Have the reservoir full(cold), engine idling, heater on MAX, fill at crossover until running over and cap. Make sure the T-stat is open(you feel the radiator warming) and make sure you have heat coming from the vents inside the car.

Now the important part is to leave it cool back down - completely(I leave mine cool overnight in the garage). Now check the reservoir coolant level. Top off if necessary - if you do not and air gets in the sytem, you will have to start over again!

fill at crossover until running over and cap - so it spills everywhere, then do u put the cap on while it overflowing?
