I just noticed the driver side door wasn't opening or locking with the keyless remote, auto lock, or the open/lock button in the car. The other side works fine. I hear a little click but nothin happens. I took the door panel off but dont know what I'm looking for. Could it be a fuse? I would think a fuse would be connected to more than just that lock, but I'll check them either way. Any guess?

Mine was acting up about a year ago.. I just locked and unlocked it a few times then the power locks started working again... Sorry I didn't dig into it so I don't know what you should look for.
Alax, put the door panel back on, this is WAY over your head. Check the tire pressure, maybe that will help.

Sounds to me like that actuator is bad. They are usually pretty cheap and really dont take to much to put in.

How am I suppose to learn if I dont dig into it.I'm trying, just dont want to tear the whole door apart when it was a little piece that was broken and easily replaceable with just the panel off.
At first it would lock but when I took the panel off and tried locking it it wouldn't lock.Dont know what an actuator is, but I'll look into it.Thanks.

The actuator is the device that actually locks the door, kinda like a little electric servo or motor. It usually has a small rubber boot similar to a cv boot on a front wheel drive car. Since I haven't had the LS door apart, maybe it looks different but I doubt it. Good Luck

i believe this would be your problem they work like a solenoid and i know they were out sometimes. they only thing is that you say its hard to lock manully meaning jammed so maybe the coil in side of it is melted somehow like what happens to electric motors its similar in construction only diff is lateral motion instead of rotational....
Actually I do listen, and I would listen to you, IF you actually gave REAL advice or atleast attempted to but you just gave me a dumb response and said dont even try, you're incapable of fixing it.You're partially right, I dont listen, but only to you because I am open to advice and criticism to does who actually give it.

Yes, I think that this is a mechanical problem, but it doesn't matter. There is just one part to replace either way. The lock motor (yes, it's a motor, not a solenoid), is built into the latch assembly.

I had this exact same problem a year ago. Locks wouldn't work with the remote or door switch. I could also hear the faint click. I replaced the latch assembly which includes the motor. Problem gone. I bought the part from a forum member who was parting out a car. Dealer was no help. They couldn't even find the part. They told me I had to replace everything in the door at a cost of $600.

I actually had the same problem on my driver's door when I bought my LS. After using the key to manually lock/unlock the door for about a week, it fixed itself and has worked fine ever since. I went to the local ford dealership near me and it was going to run me about $125 for a new actuator. Glad I didn't waste the money since it fixed itself.
I have GREAT NEWS....well to me they were. I fixed it!! I called 5 star ford and they gave me a price of 235 for a new one. I called local junk yard 25 minutes away, 100 bucks. So I took the actuartor off finally after trying for about half an hour, so simple just couldn't see with there being limited space between the door. Took it off, took it apart to see why it wouldn't lock anymore. I also tried testing the motor to see if it was the one that wasn't working. I took the motor off the actuator and it worked. So then I thought It was the connector that goes into the actuator so I connected it and now the motor worked. Put it back together and it stopped working right away. Finally figured it out. There was this little piece that is held by a clip that moves back and forth when you lock it. This came out and when I locked it it got stuck in the path of the part that moves back when you lock it. This caused the motor to get jammed, that's why it worked when I took it off, because it wasn't under the jammed pressure. Popped this piece back in place and made sure it was held in and it worked like new. Getting a new actuator would've solved the problem because this parts would be held in place in the new one. Nothing was broken. I think this might be what happened to a few people who had similar things happen with their lock and getting a new one solved the problem but there would work fine, it was just jammed. For future reference to whoever it happens to next. Take the whole actuator apart and check it, save yourself the money and learn how the locks on your car work. I'm stoked right now 
Oh and #1fordfan, GO SUCK MONKEY BALLS B**CH!!!!!!!!! I just did what you said I couldn't and was too dumb to do on my own, plus I actually found the problem and fixed it not just swaped in a new one jst to get rid of whatever the problem was.
Oh and now that I know how to take off the door panels and all the other things i think I could go back in time and fix it in about 20, including taking and ptting back everything like it was.

Instead of just swaping, meaning I fixed the problem and used the original part instead of replacing parts until the problem was fixed. Instead of guessing and putting new parts in, I fixed what wasn't working.
So much for common sense.
