My new 20's

took alot of shopping around, but I finally found the look I wanted and a shop that would even attempt to put 20's on a lowered lincoln. fit great and only minor rubbin in the rear. I will fix that tommoro by inserting 1" coil spacers in the rear. let me know what ya think.

Car looks good! Have you thought about rolling the rear fenders. that could fix your problem or at least help it.

offset is 35, the front is perfect, and the rear only rubs with a full tank of gas and go over dips in road while accelerating. No, just lifting the springs half an inch will cure it and make it look more normal. The rear, as others have noted, always sits about half and inch lower than the front.

wow 35 offset and it doesn't rub?! It should be rubbing all the time very low offset. Does it rub all the time... i was asking same question i thought 35 would rub alot.

no, I thought it would too, but the tire place assured me it would be fine and sure enough, really not bad at all. The 1/2 inch spacers in the rear will get rid of the little rubbin I get over big dips now though.

the spacers will not fix the issue, if you have peaple in the car it will rub, its rubbing now and thats only with a full tank of gas, you might need to do a roll the wells also to completly fix it but tell you the truth those wheels looks hot.

add the spacers and get a buddy and go out driving and let us know how it rides.

Instead of inserting anything in the springs or rolling the fenders, why don't you try this. Most of the time the rear rubs to the outter part of the fender liner. When I had my 20s on, this is what I did and the rear rubbing was completely gone even with people in the back and on higher speeds. With your 35 offset you are probably rubbing at the rear lip too, but you could trim that a bit also instead of rolling it and having a risk of deforming your rear quarter panel.

Spacers will make your wheels stand out even more and then you will have 10x more rubbing. Don't put any spacers. At 1/2 inch spacers your wheel offset won't be no longer 35mm, they will be around 20mm and that's wrong.

I believe he said coil spring spacers, small aluminum or hard rubber blocks, between the rear coils to raise the vehicle, not wheel spacers.

Note: If you install the spacers, wrap duct tape around them. If you go over a large bump and the spring recoils, they will shift or fall out completely.

Thanks all. I had some 1" custom made coils spacers put in today and it worked perfectly. Now I can get 2 fingers in between and the car doesnt look lower in the back than the front anymore...I think I got her just right. Well, now that its done, what should I tackle next?

Where did you get those spacers from and how much are they because i was thinking of getting rims with a 35-38mm offset and if they rub i might have to do the same.
