my new project for the next few months.

Thats alotta $$ right there. That should make HP no problem. Only thing is the oil pump are there billet gears in that? I would freak out without billet gears in there.

Mustangs are like @ssholes.........

But seriously looking forward to seeing that car in person.

That is a nice build....and a nice man cave.

What are you getting for a hoist?
Trying to get enough pennies together to fund a Max Jax.

Those early c head cobra's are a great choice.
They are also coming down on price.

I will be watching this one

9000lb Matanawoc twin post Kirk.

It'll make all my projects much easier.

And thanks guys.

I'm off work today due to weather, and will be out in the garage dropping the fuel tank.

Manitowoc ??

Underground ?

OK now I am jealous !!

=edit=

I didn't know they made a 2 post......still jealous :)

Got my new hoist installed and single phase motor attached.

I just got the cobra's triple GT supercar fuel pumps installed, and am just waiting on all the A/N fittings to convert in to return style fuel system.

All external covers are at the powdercoaters right now getting a near chrome finish applied.

This F1A is thicker than the D1SC so some ratiator mount modifications had to be done along with an A/C delete that the owner wanted done.

This is how it sets.

Got the hoist wired on Sunday, and moved the car over on to it.

Finally got the DS cam cover off on preperation for the return of all the pwdercoated parts. (next Monday)

Fuel system fittings, regulator, and lines are on their way from Summit.

New pulley (25 LBS) for the Pro-Charger is next along with A/C delete/Belt tensioner kit.

The new 3.55 pumpkin goes in this weekend as well.

The only thing left to source are the new Stainless intercooler clamps.

OH.....and a through underside cleaning.

Fuel system is done. Finally.

A big thanks to my dad (jds353) for the aluminum tig work.

The hat fits beautifully and all the hoses route nicely as well. Next up are the DSS pro level halfshafts rated for 1000+ HP.

Parts should be back from powdercoating later this week as well.

Much more to come.

Mike, what did you use to seal up the hole for the wires going into the fuel hat?
What did you have him tig? Fittings on the fuel hat?

A two part epoxy that is fuel resistant and adheres to the insulation of the wires. I procured it from a former work place a while back.

The tig was done on the back side of the fittings.

Are you planning to do something with the bushings in the IRS?

It already has poly bushings throughout Doug.

Once the new halfshafts are in, the only way the rear will get strengthened will be with an aftermarket diff.

Well, poly didn't cut it in my IRS/6 speed Cobra with only 320 RWHP, Delrin does. ;)

I made my own, but this guy is who most of the IRS Cobra guys swear by:

Ill mention it to the owner of the car once he gets over the sticker shock of everything else I've done.

;)

FWIW Doug,

The car was pushing a shade over 600hp in its former setup and with the driving style its used for, the poly bushings did the job.

Now, adding 250 plus extra horse MAY expose their weakness.

Thank you for the heads up about it.
