my precious, is all mine

Thats good! Nice paying stuff off and not having it over your head. Well done :)

I remember when I paid mine off.... Oh it was a good day. I usually don't have a good record of keeping them after paying them off but this one is working on it's third year. Must be something about the mark that the others don't have :D

You don't need a credit score - for your ONLY need of borrowing money (a house), it's called manual underwriting.

Car loans blow, learned that the hard way too - NEVER again. It's cash, or nothing.

Congrats on paying it off Topher, great feeling indeed - knowing how great that feels, will you buy another car that way? Save what you were paying on your loan anyways, and use that for your next car when you need it :).

coil conversion

congrats!

i got 3 payments to go on mine! woooot :D

I don't think I would go the LOWERING ROUTE,,BUT one question. How do you like the COIL CONVERSION?? My 95 has sat most of it's life,,44000 miles garage kept. Old guy had it,,he died,,sister kept it,,only started it once in a while,,had her own car. It had 41000 when I bought it. Gonna keep in Fla. Tires were 8 1/2 yrs old,14000 miles,,replace them,,belt all hoses,,filters. "BUT" THOSE AIR BAGS WORRY ME" I don't wanta be on a trip with OUT ON THE INTERSTATE problems.

car loans suck big time - I'm in one for my 07 Focus and I will NEVER do one again...

The loan - my focus has been a good car so far, but one it's paid off I'm driving the Mark and pocketing the money...

I've never taken out a car loan either, which is why I'm in a $2200 Mark instead of a $15k XJ-R. Although I would need a loan for a Freightliner I've got my eye on...

I have never had a loan, credit card or finance of any kind. I wonder if I even exist in credit records.

It's nice to have things you can call your own though, imo.

Edit: Haha... Just remembered; my car is in wife's name. Guess I don't own anything then. :(

Edit Again: Just realized; I have my health, the clothes on my back... And... a bicycle. Yay! :)

I have paid off 3 cars that i have owned, it felt so good to make that final payment.

Good job.

Was a while ago paying off the MarkVIII, Paid off a 3yr loan in 14months....those were the days money flowing in and out, double and triple payments.

Now.....ehh.

If you've never gotten sucked into the credit system, definitely stay away from it. You have no idea how much it sucks! I screwed myself with credit cards, and when it was all said and done, I had over $10K in debt, at 20% interest, with not a damn thing to show for any of it. I have since destroyed all my credit cards, and paid them all off, and other than a house, I will never borrow money for anything again.
