My T-bird is on the road again!

Dang that thing's gonna be a beast! I still say get a Turbo Coupe front clip and hood and a sequential turn signal kit with some LED's. And lower it a bit. That would be sweet!

And it's just my opinion, but put the door moldings back on. It looks kinda wierd with the big bumper molding but no side moldings to follow through for a uniform appearance. It looks like something's missing and incomplete about the car without the side moldings.

I had a similar situation on my old '93 T-Bird but it was factory. It had the SC front clip with the ground effect under the bumper. On the SC, that ground effect appearance was carried through under the doors and around the rear bumper. But on my '93 Sport, it stopped at the front bumper and didn't carry through around the rest of the car. And it looked silly. I don't know why Ford did that. It made no sense. Anyway, just thought I'd share. :)

Turbo coupes are rare in Sweden because of those few 87-88 T-birds in Sweden, they're pretty much all V8's.
But the TC front clip and hood are extremely good looking. Both me and my father wants those.
Lowering isn't gonna happen I think, going for the drag look on this thing. I like it :)
Door moldings is something I hate :D Ruins the car in my opinion, and they look like **** (if I still have them)... :D

But yeah, doing something with the rear lights would be awesome but for now, it's all on the performance! :D

For reference on lowering, here's my fathers 88 T-bird with a 347, Tremec T-56, Ford 9" rear etc in it.

I think I've posted those pictures here before.

Looks really good lowered but I think mine looks a bit better (in my opinion that is) :)

To me that doesn't look very low. It looks like the large wheels made up the height difference from lowering suspension. It's hard to lower the '83-'88 Fox body T-Birds because of the amount of body above the fenderlines as compared to the MN12.

The fenderwells of the Fox 'Birds are pretty small by comparison. MN12 'Birds can be lowered substantially more than Fox bodies. Especially if you have larger wheels.

That is a huge difference, never thought of that!
But the 87-88 are the only newer T-birds I can stand. Sure the 89-something Super Coupe is an awesome ride, I would love to have one just to drive the hell out of it. But it's not a pretty car in my opinion.
But hey, atleast the Fox body T-birds looks 10000x better than the Fox body Mustangs! :D

I just watched the video! That thing sounds killer!!!

I love supercharged exhaust notes, they sound soo crisp. Is that a 99-01 Cobra on the lift under the cover? Or 03-04 perhaps?

Oh also, not sure if you've done it or not, but if you find a starter from a 94-95 5.0 Mustang, or a 5.0 explorer, they are high torque starters.... muuuccchh better than factory style '88 starters! And better for header clearance! All you have to do is switch the wiring on the solenoid on the inner fender.

Thanks mate!
Its my dads 03 Cobra on the lift.
Cheers for the advice mate. If I'm getting tired of the stock starter I'll look in to that :)

Thanks :) The mechanical fan will get replaced. I just haven't found what I want to replace it with.

mark viii fan! probably gonna put one on our 69 cougar. will go nicely with its big dual core radiator.

Unfortinetly Mark Viii fans are hard to come by :D But there is a scrapped Mark Viii that's being parted out an hour drive from me. But I'm not gonna bother, they're probably gonna charge me extreme ammounts of money for a damn fan, money I could buy aftermarket fans 3 times over :p

I envy you guys. I need to find a Saddle headliner and as you can guess, impossible to come by in Sweden and not even worth it to get it shipped to Sweden.

A better electric fan to use is a ford contour v6 fan. They are dual fans. You can wire them to both activate at the same time. They fit over a foxbody radiator perfectly. And if you wire a golf cart starter solenoid as your "relay" you won't burn the car down! LOL

I was just at a junkyard the other day with a car with saddle interior.... does your car have a sunroof?

So basically Ford Mondeo fans? Mondeos are unfortinetly quite popular here so those can be scavenged quite easily. But I'll see what I do. I'll probably buy new stuff just to keep it shiny ;) Don't want to clutter the engine bay with worn plastic stuff that's been on a car for 200k miles ^^

Mine has a sunroof yes. unfortinetly, it's aftermarket. That's why I need a new headliner. The monkeys who did the job totally ruined the original headliner. It's basically just the fabric that has been stretched above your head. There's nothing more there at some places.

Just go to Wal-Mart (do they have Wal-Marts in Sweden?) and get some fabric and some 3M headliner adhesive and do it yerself. It's definitely not the most difficult job in the world. And it will save you a lot of money.

No we don't have Wal-Mart here :p
But the thing is, there's nothing to apply the fabric to. There's just nothing. They've totally ruined the headliner ^^ But I'll figure it out when I get in to it.

I'll see what a headliner goes for at the local yard. Your best bet is to find one from a non sunroof car and modify it... because who knows if the sunroof was cut out in the same place... LOL

Plastic polish, man! :)

I would imagine the mondeo is identical.... so long as it has the v6 in it..... 2.5L I think?

They say those fans push more cfm than a mark viii fan. But require lots of initial voltage draw to start.... so yo either need a DC controller which is hard to find and rediculously expensive... or a golf cart solenoid seems to work like a charm.

they do? cuz mark fans move a **** ton of air. like 4500 cfm.

I checked with the scrap yard that has a Mark Viii, they want $250 for the fan. **** that. It's not made out of gold precisely...

Well, Im currently parting out my '94 Mark VIII with saddle interior and sunroof. The headliner is in pretty much perfect condition, no idea how much it would cost to ship it from germany tho :p I bought an ivory pearl '95 LSC with saddle interior last weekend, no sunroof too. But Im probably gonna need that one :p Got that fan as well.

What I'm worried about is tha handling when being shipped :p A headliner is quite fragile and everyone knows that the more they can damage a package, the higher score they achieve at the post offices.
