well now i have a full transmission and a leaky mother :q:q:q:qer dipstick tube, even with a brand new o-ring too. and not to mention i fired the car up, and went through the gears but i first went to reverse, then went to drive, then as i went back to park i see the indicator light still on drive but the shifter handle was in park, it didnt feel right, so i went under the car to see what happened and the shifter linkage cable was broken, i must have caught it on the old trans when i was taking it out. so i had to go outside and jack up a parts car, crawl under it and disconnect the linkage and then go in the car and remove the whole shifter mechanism, then i had to pull my console out and rip my shifter mechanism out and replace with the other one, got that done, then noticed the dip stick leaking, son of a bitch seriously???? i was all ready to drive it tonight, now i have to rip the dip stick out and drain all the fluid into a clean bucket. i figured out my burnt wire problem too, the idiots at glowshift have a mistake on the wiring diagram on the directions that came with my volt meter, i compared them to the diagram on the website and its different, thats why i fried a wire last night in my pillar.
i missed work today because i couldnt sleep last night from hurting my back so bad, my problem is when i need help, if i cant get any, i force myself to get the job done alone no matter what, and then i pay for it later, i know one thing i am not gonna be able to hurt my back too many more times before it does permanent damage.
so now, the car deffinetly wont see pavement again until friday night or saturday i need a few days away from it. the car seemed to run great with brandons computer he sent me, but i have yet to drive the car! my trans temp sensor works perfect i heated it up with a lighter and watched the gauge, then stuck it in front of my trans cooler fan and turned it on and it dropped quickly, so, all i got left to do is fix the trans dip stick leak, put the wiper mechanism back in and wiper cowl, put the hood back on, bolt the front bumper back to the car and stick the headlights in and go for a ride, if anything goes wrong, look for an oil slick on the side of the gandy bridge!
