Ed, why don't you get 2.73 gears out of a junkyard Grand Marquis??? That will make a bigger difference.
Because that would put the RPM's below what's optimum for fuel economy based on the torque curve of this engine resulting in a loss of fuel economy.
What the douche nozzel needs is to sell that Mark and get himself a pink Geo Metro for a DD.
I just figured out that my gf's car (toyota camry 2.4liter) is only getting 27 mpg when they say it should get 34 mpg? Your complaining about a v8 heavy a$$ car getting 24-25:shifty: WTF!!!
Installing 2.73 gears would put the rpm's down to 1435 at 60 mph which is way to low to get good fuel economy.

Rim diameter has NOTHING to do with tire width.
If you look at the overall economics of modding your car for fuel economy it never makes sense... but most people are too retarded to look at the overall economics...
Definitely a contender.
yup, 97 mark with air bags filled with tire sealant and pulling 6000 lbs across the country is still going strong like a rock. Amazing thing is that it's been over 1 year since the air bags were treated and the air suspension continues to work without a hitch.
