Nav mounted in ashtray opening

ok i got a quick question, i have the thx nav on my LS and i tend to look at the screen alot when im taking directions and since the location of the nav screen is in the middle of the console and not in a natural line of sight like the new nav's i keep having to take my eyes of the road alot, since yours is mounted much lower and also its a smaller screen do you tend to move your eyes out of the road alot and how about the voice guidence can you hear it clearly from that angle?

but this is a really clean install.

Not really a pain, just like looking at the radio, it talks the directions so you really dont need to watch it

What Magellan model is it? Just trying to get an idea on screen size that fits in that spot. Also how easy is it to get to the buttons on the unit if it has any?

It is model 3200 maestro, the power button on the side if I wat to push without unclipping the unit from the holder I need to use like a small scredriver, I just unplug the cord. I am going to wire it into the car at a later date for key power on/off with key.
