It all depends on the Navy's Rules of Engagement. Some of the reports I've read indicate that US Navy ships not only have a right to self-defense, but they have an obligation to defend themselves. Supposedly, the rules of engagement were changed after the attack on the USS Cole.cant argue with that.Whose call is it in these matters?I dont think the military can just start blowing ships/boats out of the water if war or martial law has not been declared....... evan if a military vessal gets attacked
