cant argue with that.Whose call is it in these matters?I dont think the military can just start blowing ships/boats out of the water if war or martial law has not been declared....... evan if a military vessal gets attacked
It all depends on the Navy's Rules of Engagement. Some of the reports I've read indicate that US Navy ships not only have a right to self-defense, but they have an obligation to defend themselves. Supposedly, the rules of engagement were changed after the attack on the USS Cole.
