Need a gas tank for a 98 LSC

They absolutely do, I've done it.

The only difference is in the emissions hoses, the bare tank itself is exactly the same.

The first pic is a '98 tank. The second is a '97 tank (after I swapped over the emission lines). The third pic is the '97 tank installed in a '98 LSC.

I thought they did but since I don't own or study Gen 2's, I wasn't going to argue lol.

Do you have the gas tank straps?!?! I'll buy them if they're decent.

I am picking up a tank tomorrow from a NJ yard. I hope its in as good of condition as they are telling me. Only $90 too!

naw man i dont have the straps...but it would be easy to make a set...you should head off to home depot maybe you can find something there to fabricate a set of straps.

Got my 'new' gas tank in! I ended up getting a tank from a junkyard in NJ. It had a decent amount of surface rust and a couple of dents, but was in better condition than mine. I prepped and painted it and had my local mechanic install it along with a new walbro fuel pump. I also painted the tank straps. My fuel pump was working I just replaced it since it was original and the tank was out.

The smell of gas is gone (the reason I needed to change this)

Yes 97 and 98 tanks interchange.
