i have a 2000 ls and the ac puts out hot air. took it to a local shop and the guy said there was so many codes that came up, that he didnt know where to start and told me to take it to a lincoln dealer, u guys have any ideas. he said something about the climate control? also the abs light stays on and truck ajar, and check adv tracking keeps showing up on the information center?

Did your car just start doing this in the last day or two??? If so, with a 2000 LS and all those lights coming on at once, the first thing you should check is your alternator then your battery. The car is rather snobby when it comes to it's expected power levels. Also, if it is the alternator, you'll know pretty soon if everything else electrical starts acting funny --> headlights will be next, then power steering, then the entire dash. I have 2 Lincolns and when that alternator power drops just a little bit it seems to manifest itself in 5 or 6 symtoms at once. So, at least start there.

I was about to say that a/c isn't that hard to diagnose...but that's not necessarily true on these cars. But the first thing that should have been done is toss the gauges on it and see if you even have any freon in the thing! KISS As in everything else, start with the simple and obvious first.

If your refridgerant pressure checks out then Check the fuse for the AC. My clutch coil was pulling way too much power and kept popping fuses. End result was that I had replace the compressor and clutch coil assy rather than just rebuilding the clutch coil.

thnx for the ideas guys, but the car lot i got it from is goin to fix the ac any ideas on the trunk ajar and the check adv traction?

The trunk adjar is just a matter of fixing the switch in the trunk. IIRC they either had a problem with alignment or it broke off.

The traction is prolly a wheel speed sensor or ABS sensor.

new problem i went to get my wheels today and they sent the wrong ones, they rubbed the calipers, on the way home its like my car gave out, it stayed around 40 mph and i had it floored, thought maybe trnny was goin out so i downshifted and the rpms went up but still nothing, so i put it in d4 and for about 10 more seconds it done the same thing and then all the sudden it came back to life and took off and it ran fine the rest of the way home about 45 mins. any ideas?

Yea; either the wheels ground material off the aluminum calipers or the calipers ground material off the wheels. Either way, not a good thing! Where did you get the wheels, Dewy Cheatum and Howe???

they didnt put the wheels on, i went thru the dealership were i got my truck, i know he'll make it right so not to worried about that. im thinkin i got the shaft on the car also, but after all that happened i went the car lot and thru a fit and he sed he'd fix everything. told him he had till next wednesday to make it right. time will tell =|
