I have a 2002 3.9. When I put the key into the ignition and turn the key I get not response. Batt is good dome light and horn work there power to the car but I no acesori no start no lights on the instrument cluster I checked inition switch and its reading 12 volts on the voltmeter. Is there ANYONE that might know what's going on. I've checked uses and relays and all three boxes. Thank u in advance.

What is the PATS light doing?
Is not even registering the key in the ignition for the past like the go order all the still thinks that the car is locked but when I open the door with the key is goes off but when I put my key into the ignition normally the will we'll start moving and did you turn into the accessory and your dash lights come on and then you turn the crank it up and it cranked up I get no spots out of none of them it's like he's never in the tumbler but when I checked the tumbler and ignition switch with a voltmeter its reading 12 volts

That doesn't seem to be a clear answer to my question, in fact, I really can't follow it at all.

The PATS light is the red light at the base of the windshield in the middle. Here are the three normal possibilities.

1. The PATS light does not come on.
2. The PATS light comes on and then goes back off shortly after turning the key to start.
3. The PATS light starts flashing rapidly after turning the key to start.

No pats light at all. It only blinks slowly when the car is lock. And stays off after I unlocked the door with the key. Nour pats light when I turn the key.

Probably, you have a power problem. It could be the ignition switch, but more likely it is wiring or a relay or the REM. I know that some have had problems with corrosion in the under hood fuse box.

Update! So I pulled the ignition switch and check it with my multimeter it's real 9 volt before you turned the ignition and after u turn it to acc or start both read no volts. Check every fuse in all three boxes and all were good. Do they know how u check for a bad relay.

9V is too low. First make sure that your battery is over 12V with some load (like the lights). If it is, then you will have to find out where the voltage drop is. It's going to be a bad connection or a corroded wire. The constant 12V feed to the ignition switch does not pass through a relay.

I'm having a similar issue, 2003 LS 3.9. Started with blacked out EATC but started and ran. Then went to restart then everything electrically in the interior went haywire. Narrowed down to circuit F2.20 fuse blown 10 amp which is EATC, FEM in cab fuse box. Replaced once started again blacked out EATC still. Got it home, went to restart then nothing. Same fuse blown, replaced but keeps blowing as soon as it hits the socket. Checked battery voltage 11.25. Has a dead short somewhere that is draining battery. Once battery voltage drops all FEM and REM goes haywire and systems start to lockout including PATS. Pulled all HVAC relays and DCCV plug to try to narrow down, fuse keeps blowing. Charging battery overnight. Going to try to unplug heated seat plugs and EATC this morning to see if this is where the short is. Could be the heated seat module or FEM. Trying to narrow down the circuits impacted via wiring diagrams I have. All other fuses are fine. Rather odd that the fuse keeps blowing with all other lower amp fuses are good in same circuit run.
