Need Help!! lincoln wont start after going thru water

update on the lincoln

:Bang hi all, Well, I took the car to the mechanic and he said that it looks like there could be a bend piston. In other words engine locked. so i tow the car to the mechanics at work and they want to confirm that! One of the mechanic said it could be,but he wants to try to see if maybe, some engine parts guess those that could rust might be rusted. due because i left it sit to long before i working on it.Might be why a breaker bar wouldn't turn the engine manual. So it comes down to this if it is, and i'a m 98%sure it is locked, then i am going to strip the interior and have a tow truck pick it up. I dont wish to put $ into the car in that condition cause i own a 97 and was selling it cause i need the room. so if anyone looking for a specif part we could talk. I will sell the whole car for parts or whatever for a price. otherwise strip it and sell it part by part. It is sad to see it go this way. Insurance wouldn't cover me since i only have liability, I took off the full covrage years ago. guys thanks. If anything new like a miracle i will post :bsflag:

Too bad you can't just put in a used engine, they are fairly cheap these days.

I called insurance company, they reminded me that i had taken off full coverage over 4 yrs ago. I figure the car getting older i wouldn't need it. Never though i would be lending out to an inexperienced, dont know there are other damages to car besides crashing it, familly member! will post pick of car soon as i make the pic enough bites to upload on this forum.

If you can do some of the work you should be able to replace the entire engine cheaply and part out your old engine to cover most of the cost. Maybe since you are in NJ one of our lovely admins would be able to help you out?

In case anyone has any intrest.

If you are deciding to part the car out let me know. I woould be interested in the grill, front corner lights L/R, and Passenger Headlight if it is really clean.

Let me know..

'93 Totaled

The '93 thru '96 have a very low air intake. If water was sucked into the engine, forgetaboutit. I blew the engine in my '93 driving through a bad storm and bought my '94 with the insurance money

Sorry to hear about this. If the air silencer was removed your engine might have been OK.
