JJ i always wondered how an LS would look sectioned. you think you can do that? i wouldn't consider doing it but i'm just curious.
OK!......This is wat happens at 3-4 am when u are half asleep and think of a GREAT IDEA......But then it doesnt turn out so good, but u keep Photoshippin anyway, juss to get a a laugh, cuz u were like wtf was I thinkin!!! LOL ENJOY!!!! LoL :

sectioning is when you take off a piece (usually a few inches) from the pillars to bring the roof down. this is more popular with hot rods and rat rods.

What you described is called "copped".
"channeling" is refered to "body dropping"

Ive heard of sectioning but like said its in the body usually a triangular piece too! the top being cut is almost always reffered to as chopped or chopping. I was considering chopping and channeling the LS, going with a flat black primer and some custom minstriping, but a rat rod LS would lok wierd as hell I think!

Just add some eylids to her and instead of yellow fogs, tint em out. or get the 03-06 ones and paint the outer crap to match. murderedout...... perfect name for that mean LS! oh and maybe tint the tails. Mine are damn near black. The probelm is the "damn near" part. they kinds look dark red because of the little bit of red shoing through
OK JJ, I've decided that PS might be the best way to get an idea of how this will look before I go and do it to a spare set of tail lights. What I was going to do was paint the entire taillight the body color, and only leave the 3 contoured horizontal lines red. I like the idea of doing something different to the taillights, but tinting doesn't look right on a light colored car. Care to give it a shot? Here's a pic:
