HA. Why do I always see Fla02LS arguing with the younger crowd and no one else??

:ballon
No No No...you have it reversed buddy. People who i am not even talking to get defensive and open their pie hole. You have never seen me get all bent out of shape about anything you call me. I speak my mind and thats it. You can say whatever you feel about me and im not gonna try to argue why i'm not. Dont care. Obviously ya'll kids dont like being called kids. Grow up and be the adults you claim to be.

whoa...calm down there buddy. I never called you anything. I speak my mind as well. Maybe it is you who opens their mouth and indirectly attempts to call out a certain age group with every topic. Of course us young bucks will take offense. What do you expect?

first of all, im 26 and i loved this car since it came out in 1999 as a 2000 model, i just got my LS last october brand new 04 that was a left over with almost 15k off the sticker and i traded my 03 focus for it, i live in NYC and insurance is rediculus around here but for some reason the LS was cheaper to insure so the first thing you do is get the VIN of the LS your looking at and do a quote and not the online quotes cuz they always give u a general number call and speak to someone and get a acutual number, now you never said if you was financing this car or you have the cash it makes huge difference in our opinions well atleast for me, as a person that had to go through 4 different cars and then finaly getting my dream car and the way i wanted with all the options i wanted i know how you feel and since im in between this older and younger crowd these peaple here are talking about LOL ( no offense to no one here) the best thing to consider is that:

1= you already know what the issues are with the car so no surprise there
2= its your dream car so no other car will compare right now
3= no matter what we say, your the only one that knows and you prob already made up your mind anyways but just comming here just to confirm your decision that you prob already made.

so if you think that you can afford it and i did do a search LS is expensive in your area, go ahead and get it at the end you will make it work if you want too, just dont get married, have kids, move out of mama's house, get expensive cloths, no vacations until the car is paid off  :D

P.S = you might want to check ebay i bough a acura TL 2002 from there for my friend he has had it for almost 2 years now and he got it realy cheap compared to the prices around his area -- the shipping cost wasnt that much too, im jut giving you some options if you really are interested in this car

You stereotype buddy and that is offensive to people who may or may not fall under the stereotype. That is going to get people like me to open my pie hole. Anyways no harm done, I wouldn't call you anything I wouldn't call myself. I like to speak my mind also. Just turned 23 today maybe that will get me closer to what you consider adult (I'm joking, not being a smartazz).

check it yall I am 23 got my Ls 3yrs ago and have had a lot of repair work done to it all of it covered by the extended warranty. I have invested a lot of money in terms of mods and such. I do agree that in most instances age does make a difference when it comes to making decisions. I think what you like now as an 19yr old, you might not like at age 21. The reason I say that is when I was 18 I financed a honda accord I got tired then shortly I got a Lincoln Navigator, Too expensive then another accord with all the bells and whistles, but it wasnt luxurious enough, so I got the car I really wanted which was the LS. Thing to think about is not buying a car on an impulse. Buy it because you can afford it, and cause you love it. School is priority number one. If I were you I would keep driving that celebrity save about 5-7k and get a Mustang Gt convertible. No only will it be completely yours, but you wont have a payment. But if you insist on an LS get one that has atleast 2 yrs of warranty on it that way part of your investment is covered. Repair costs are a huge thing to take into consideration given that the LS is prone to problems.

damn lincoln, why couldnt you make the LS more reliable!!

think im gonna have to wait a couple more years to get an LS

back to square one...

FLA02, I didn't really like any of the cars you showed...thanks tho

i mean,i can do without all the bells and whistles, but i wanna be able to look at my car and think its nice, not just like the way it drives.and i dont want a mustang, way too many people have those...dunno what the hell im gonna get.i guess theres nothing comparable to the ls as far as styling goes out there...

so much good advice in here.all of you guys(older or not) are saying alot of valid stuff.

me,I'm not your average 19 year old, been thru alot, but respect is still there for older people, long as its mutual.I don't accept being talked down to just because im younger...but I do understand that older people have been thru a lot too,and have more experience,so I listen.thats what wise men do...

Get a Mark VIII, GTP, Altima, Accord, tiburon or something like that. Those are fun/cheap/nice cars with mild potential. If you really want to turn heads...get the LS with some pipes on it. You won't believe how many compliments you will get...

also look into cars like firebirds and camaros with V6s. Somtimes cheap and they look real nice and you could always add nos if you really wanted...lol..

well the LS is reliable the thing is when something does go wrong its expensive to fix compared to a honda or a toyota and just remember any car that your going to buy that has 100k plus you are running the risk of repairs no matter what the brand or model u get some of us are lucky and have made such perchases not having to pay for it later on and some have had alot of problems even when they buy it brand new -- so if you drove the car and it looks good and you think you can afford any repair cost if you come accross it then go ahead you will love your new LS.
