hey guys I have a 2000 lincoln ls v6 with 105 k miles. I been having an overheating problem. if I'm doing above 60 it won't over heat. but if I go below that it will red line the fans are not coming on to cool the car down. if it s cool at night it will not over heat. I did get my system bleed 2 times already cuz I did have air in the system. it won't over heat everyday but out the blue. I got an data code reading with the school shops sol system. the following codes came up. B1932 driver air bag high res/circuit open, B2403 audio cd internal fault, P1299 cylinder head over temp protect active, P1285 cylinder head over temp sensed, P0401 egr insufficient flow detected, u1262 sep data fault for j1850 bus. please let me know any info you guys know about these codes thanx

It's going to be your hydraulic fan, specifically probably the solenoid.

thanx guys. anyone know how much it costs for the solienod also the other codes I listed are you saying the failing fan is causing the other codes.

Please look at the thread (and some of the links in the thread) that manoli posted. It answers the cost question and more.

The P1285 code is a result of the poor fan operation. The other codes are different faults that you should also tend to. U1262 you can probably ignore unless it is constantly there. B1932 is probably your clockspring. P0401 means you probably need to clean the EGR valve and passages. You might have to replace the flow sensor.
