What do you all think? Very easy upgrade. Less than 2 hours to do the swap.

Looks good. I would like to see what it would look like to get a piece to match the Mclaren for the lower grill. Have fun with your new 06 LS!

Here you go before and after. Cost me about $700 to convert just the front bumper and $1400 for the rest of the LSE kit.

where did you get the kitt from i want to convert my 04 to a 06 too and also the the parts come pre-painted or did you have to have it done yourself.

I got the front bumper and fog lamps from our vendor here on LVC Bill at Team Ford, the rest I got from a local dealer. I had to get it all painted myself.

Thanks 01lssport! That would look pretty cool with a lower McLaren grill. Have you or anyone else seen one before? I have not. Would love to see one for the LS.

Looks great. I have been thinking about replacing my bumper too, only to get rid of the lisence plate (it looks better without!).

Also, where did you get the instructions to remove the bumper? If possible can you post them here or PM me? Thanks.

Man, that looks really good. Good work, looks very clean. I don't think you need the Mclaren lower grille, I think it looks good just the way it is. Nice work.

Thanks!! Hers a low down of the install. I may take pics just to show what Im talking about here if its unclear. Its a very simple job, I didnt get any instructions on how to do it, I just went at it and figured it all out quickly.

1. Remove all front bumper splash guard bolts from underside of the car.
2. Remove both headlights. Each has 3 bolts to hold them in.
3. Remove front air temp sensor and plastic cover that it sits on from top of bumper cover under the hood.
4. Remove inner wheel fender liner bolts that attach to front bumper.
5. Remove brackets that hold the bumper to the front fenders. They have 2 small bolts and are easily accessible with a very long 1/4 ratchet extension.
6. Pull bumper up and forward and it just pops off.
7. Once the bumper is removed, you will need to cut off the stock fog lamp connector and splice in a H8 connector for the different bulbs.

Does the chrome trim found on the 06 bumper kit on the older LSE kits?

LOOKS real nice!

Love the fog lamps do you have HIDs installed in them?

There is no chrome trim on the LSE bumpers. I see maybe what you are talking about. It looks like the 06 bumper has the spot for the chrome trim, but thats just the design. There is no chrome at all on the LSE's, maybe except for the wheels and front grill.

i dont mean on the top.. i mean on the bottom grill area.. it looks like it has a chrome trim on it

DUH!! I feel really stupid now. I forgot about that little piece. The old LSE bumper doesnt have that. That piece is seperate from the bumper and costs about $60 from the dealer. It just snaps in.

but does it fit the old LSE kit? Is the whole the same size and shape is what i wanted to know?

I really doubt it. The 06 LSE bumper opening looks bigger. I went to PepBoys today and they sell 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 chrome molding there for about $16 a roll. You can make one yourself. It should look just like the factory one.

makes sense.. i'll take a look at it.. i want a grill for the LSE.. but i jus dont know what to go with.. i have a trenz verticle grill on the car now
